The official pictures are lovely. The veil was so pretty.
Eug suits the dress she’s wearing for the reception, I also liked the green dress although I know some of you are not keen.
I’m a bit surprised at how casual and beachy some of the reception outfits are, especially a couple of the male guests.. if it was my wedding I’d be secretly wishing they’d made a bit more effort 🙂

They look lovely in them I should add, I just prefer them in colour!

I quite like them either way. We had a mix and as the years have gone by I think the black and white ones are a bit more timeless, but the colour photos show photos and detail much better, even little bits of sparkle which are missing on the black and white,

Well obviously the colour photos show colour better… I might do better if I’d actually been hitting the vino.
I meant in the flowers and so on which cost us a fortune so absolutely should be memorable

Someone mentioned it on another thread and I now can’t unsee it - the Duke bears a strong resemblance to Guardian columnist and Twitter warrior Owen Jones!

I agree a lot of the guests were dressed for the beach even at the ceremony!

The groom reminds me of Tom Brady a little. Saying he's anything like our friend Owen is quite harsh 😂

The flowers were gorgeous. It looked like a very happy day.

I love the new duchess's dress - the scalloped edge was gorgeous, and the fit was lovely. Loved her shoes too. The veil was magnificent.

I think the bridesmaids' shoes could have done without the bows, though it all did tie together.

The dress looks much better in those official shots. I suppose most things do!

Is that a society wedding thing, to get changed for the reception? I’ve never heard of that.

I do think Sophie would look a bit more put together if her accessors matched though - the brown belt, grey espadrilles and a green bag (but a different green to the dress) spoil the overall look.

Agree that the accessories are the issue and are very mis-matched.

I loved the photos of Victoria Spencer's wedding dress / outfit back in the day.
It was so very different though it has been heavily criticised.
There was something other worldly about it.

Unfortunately, the day was a bit rain sodden wasn't it, and her dress dragged in the damp. It didn't do the fur any good, either. I think it was a very different look, and a change from all the big white meringues, though.
The Spencer tiara would also enhance any bridal (or other) outfit!

Some outfits were beautiful, some so far from I expected for the society wedding of the year level of smartness- I’m looking at you beach dress and blue loafers 😆

Oh that’s a shame, especially as they have a young child. Who I think is also a Charlotte Diana? I suspect writing his recent memoir would’ve brought a lot of trauma to the surface.

I agree. I think Mary Berry is very well-dressed generally. She's 89!

You're right. It was traumatic and he had to have residential care for his treatment. Understandably it had an impact on his marriage. I hope he finds peace. As you say, his little daughter Charlotte is only about 9.

I agree, the colour is great and I like the broad contrasting belt.
