Lovely pictures of the Spanish Royals and of our gorgeous thread mascot.

And Zara and Mike were at a golf event. I'm not sure this is Mike's best look...

I'm going to say that the pink is a bold choice! However, they both look good and it's a really nice picture.

Zara and Mike always look so happy and normal (for v rich people)
Mike either needs to size up or join in with Zara's PT.
The pink is definitely a bold choice.

eggplant16 · 18/05/2024 09:56

Thats ( quite frankly) hideous.

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/05/2024 11:00

Princess Anne looked amazing at a garden party this week.

KillingMeDeftIy · 18/05/2024 12:29

Zara and Mike look bloody awful! Pink and white is very early 00s WAG.

Papergirl1968 · 18/05/2024 12:50

It was for a pink themed charity event organised by Mike, I think. But yes, his outfit looks too tight!

Eaumyword · 18/05/2024 13:08

Crumbs, I hope Za and Mike raised a lot of money for wearing those shockers! Mike's worn pale pink before and looked nice in it - was there a reason for going for that (shocking!) pink? Maybe charity colours??

Propertylover · 18/05/2024 13:42

Brave shade of pink. I am sure it must be the charities colours. They always look so happy together.

They all look great but the bit of the article that catches my eye is where it says Letizia’s wedding dress cost £6m! Really? How??

Maireas · 18/05/2024 21:26

Yes, I've seen that somewhere else - it was embroidered with real gold thread I think and pearls?
At first I thought that was the cost of the wedding, but that was £19m!

Perhaps it was Pesetas. That would have been roughly £30,000.

Maireas · 18/05/2024 21:41

Yes, it does seem a crazy amount!

OP posts:
KillingMeDeftIy · 18/05/2024 21:43

I don’t think it was pesetas as they got married in 2004 and hadn’t Spain switched to Euros by then?

Letizia’s dress was fine but I would never have looked at it and thought it cost millions!

SqueakyDinosaur · 18/05/2024 21:51

Kate's dress was supposedly 200-250k. I do struggle to see how Leti's could be twenty-four times more.

Maireas · 18/05/2024 21:51

Yes, good points, both! It does seem extraordinary. It's not even the nicest royal wedding dress I've ever seen!

OP posts:
Maireas · 18/05/2024 21:52

Kate's had all that labour intensive hand woven lace as well.

Just waving to @QueryA and @chesterelly1 - I'm clearly pretty near you both too. I went drinking in St Andrews when I was 17ish - they weren't too bothered about checking ID there in those days!

Mary looks lovely there.

Maireas · 19/05/2024 15:41

I think so too, it's a nice outfit and I like her shoes!

Eaumyword · 19/05/2024 18:00

Mary looks stylish there.

Papergirl1968 · 19/05/2024 20:33

Sophie in another Susannah London dress. It looks nice but no full length pics.
