Sophie and Edward are in Oakham today looking at the new statue of HMTLQ. Sophie is wearing a white coat, green trousers and has an orange bag.

Edward is wearing a green tweed jacket and bright blue trousers.

Im not entirely happy with the Duke of Edinburghs outfit.

Sophie’s coat ooozes quality to me & I love the orange addition.

Looks like he was in a rush to get out and changed into his shirt and tie and grabbed his jacket but forgot to change out of 'at home' trousers.

I agree with you on both aspects! Was wondering if the coat is MaxMara?

Edward: I wonder if he is doing the “literal dressing” as favoured by Catherine. There’s a Welcome to Oakham billboard on the Oakham bypass which has the exact colours: green field, blue for Rutland Water. I wonder if he’d been given the heads up by a local dignitary.

I know Sophie has a beautiful Maxmara cream trench style coat, plus a Loewe one which I was less keen on. This one seems much neater and hangs beautifully.

I found this on Twitter. The coat is Prada. No wonder it looks good!

Looks like his recent illness has taken its toll on King Harald. He doesn’t look very well and I wonder if he’s considering the benefits of abdication?

Sophie looks lovely. My mum has an orange bag that looks similar, and it really lifts an outfit. Eddie looks like a gentleman farmer.

I'm not keen on the King's portrait. It looks like a normal portrait that a child got hold of after it was completed and covered it with red paint or crayon! He also has a kind of sappy expression on his face, which I don't think looks quite regal.

The dress is a re-wear, but has been altered.

I didn't like C.Rex's portrait at first but I'm warming to it. I quite like his facial expression; I think the artist has captured him/his character very well although I agree, it's maybe not the most regal or powerful look. The hands and sausage fingers are a bit too prominent IMO. It's certainly an interesting portrait!

I like KCs new portrait, it’s interesting seeing all the small details including the butterfly.
