When you started Botox and other treatments like that (directed at those who do have them done, obviously!) I'm thinking of starting now (36) I've heard the earlier the less frequently you need to have it done? I think I'm aging terribly, (I'm a squinter) I spent my 20s with acne so would really like to enjoy my face a little longer!

Anyone? I never seem to have any luck asking about aesthetics here but people mention them on other threads so some of you are getting them 😂

I'm 50 and have never had anything done ..
I have a friend who is 28 and her face is frozen .. I think it's normal these days for 20 ish

Try phrasing your title more specifically. The click bait method may put people off (I clicked by accident due to sausage thumb syndrome), but if you mention the subject of your thread in your title you may be more likely to find your target audience.

  1. I don't know why I was against it for so long. I finally gave in & got it on my forehead and I feel it's taken years off me.
UtterlyButterly2048 · 28/04/2024 18:12

I was 42. I have Botox and Profhilo every 5 months, done by a Dr. My face isn’t frozen, my forehead and eyebrows still move and I still look exactly like me. Just a well rested and relaxed me 😎

suntannedsnowballsinhellskitchen · 28/04/2024 18:18

I started at 31 after finishing breastfeeding my last baby

I needed a "glow up" - my face is a lot more relaxed these days and I've gone from having Botox every 3 months to every 6 months

It's so subtle my own mother hasn't clicked on Grin I look fresher

Twinklewonderkins · 28/04/2024 18:21

I was 47. I have Botox a couple of times a year and a bit of filler in my lower face.
i can still move everything tho, being “frozen “ is something some want and ask for.

IamII · 28/04/2024 18:26

I started Botox at 42/43. When I look back at photos of me at, say, 36ish, I've got worse crows feet than I do now. I love it!

Branleuse · 28/04/2024 18:26

Not sure how old I was , as I had it done intermittently for years. I'm 47 now and I get it done about every 4 or 5 months.

bingoringo4 · 28/04/2024 18:27

35

PanPinPon · 28/04/2024 18:27
  1. I have a short forehead so have it there only. My practitioner is sensible and will only give you what's needed. She will turn people away if needed so I like her.
SpaSpa · 28/04/2024 18:27

Fillers in my lower face at 47 and Botox a week before I was 50.

BigBadBarri · 28/04/2024 18:29

If anyone has a recommendation in central or south London or Surrey would love to hear it!

wpalfhal · 28/04/2024 18:44

Thanks all, apologies I didn't realise I was doing a clickbait title, I don't like long titles not sure if they fit in the app so did it like that, take the point.

How often do you get it done? It's the wrinkles under my eyes I most worry about, I just think I look a good few years older than I am. Make up settles in them too.

BuntyCollocks · 28/04/2024 21:39

I started lip fillers last year just before I turned 40, and got some light facial filler after a very bad illness just after turning 40, and Botox early this year (still 40!). I look like a rested “me” again. Not planning anything else currently.

Tailfeather · 28/04/2024 21:39
  1. Wish I'd started earlier.
CommeUneVacheEspagnole · 28/04/2024 21:41

I'm 36. I'll be starting soon. I just need to find the right place.

FakeMiddleton · 28/04/2024 22:14

34 and have it done every 5 months on average. I see a doctor who does The Known Faces etc

Also look into a CO2 facial

PlumPeony · 28/04/2024 22:22

Botox 43. I also have few gadgets since before that (foreo bear, led mask)

pelotonaddiction · 29/04/2024 01:39

32, had a few Botox treatments then stopped
Started using tretinoin
Contemplating starting again though

StridTheKiller · 29/04/2024 09:56
  1. I adore my botox and fillers and have them lightly done so you'd probably not know. Filler lasts yonks. Botox I used to need 3x yearly visits, but once yearly does if now. If you are in Cheshire/Leicestershire/Derbyshire I can advise the best of the best, Jessica May Aesthetics, she's a qualified and registered nurse.
StridTheKiller · 29/04/2024 09:57

PS. I'd go without food for my botox now, I'd sacrifice anything for my treatments! Xxx

wpalfhal · 29/04/2024 09:57

What treatment is used for eye wrinkles?

OP posts:
Purplecatshopaholic · 29/04/2024 09:59

About 42. Stopped for maybe a year and a half during Covid then started again. I don’t get much and I only go twice a year. Works wonders though, I love it.

dibly · 29/04/2024 16:56

I started Botox around my laughter lines in my late 20s, chronic health condition so my face showed the pain. Really helped and although I regularly take a break of a year or so, whenever I have it done again I’m really pleased (now51).
