Wedding day perfume?

Hi everyone! I am getting married in June and have been thinking about what perfume to wear. I’d like something light, sweet and vanilla-y I think, but I don’t want to smell like a cupcake. Has anybody come across anything like this? I’m not a big perfume person, the only one I own at the moment is Le Labo The Noir 29 which I love but is quite unisex and earthy, I think I’d like something a little more feminine for my wedding day.

What perfume did you wear on your wedding day? Did you buy a special one or just use one you already had?

I wore ghost original.

I buy my perfumes from Eden who make cruelty free dupes. They do a samples box for about £39 I think that has 5 samples. You could just search for vanilla and the website will suggest lots of perfumes that fit.

I’ll look them up thank you, I’d been thinking samples could be a good way to go as it might be a waste buying a whole bottle I’ll likely hardly wear again.

I wore Channel No 5. A classic & my favourite.

My husband had bought me a bottle for the Christmas before our wedding and I wanted to smell like me on the day!

Presumably you already wear some perfumes you like. Why not wear the one your fiancé like the most?

If you do want something new, Noted Aromas also do amazing dupes. I think their offer atm is £20 for 5

Clean reserve skin is a very light sweet vanilla

I wore (and still wear) Marc Jacobs “woman”

increasingly hard to find as it’s discontinued but it is my scent and I love it.

MrsMoiraRose · 18/04/2024 17:49

I think I wore Coco Mademoiselle as that's what I had to hand

Zoetrope1 · 18/04/2024 18:16

I wore Vilhelm Parfumerie Moon Carnival - a beautiful tuberose vanilla.

Dyptique eau duelle or MFK gentle fluidity gold may fit the bill

Ooh me too. I didn't even give my dress any thought. Just hot footed it to the church in my nightie as I couldnt wait to marry my love and see his ickkle wickke lickle face 🙄

I think Chanel Allure was what I wore on my wedding day OP. If its a summer wedding Alien Goddess has Vanilla base notes and is a really lovely summer perfume.

2chocolateoranges · 18/04/2024 18:33

I couldn’t even tell you what perfume I wore on my wedding day, would just have been the one I wore around that time which would have been either Eternity or Escape!

culturevulture1984 · 18/04/2024 18:34

Diorissimo is lovely.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 18/04/2024 20:24

I wore Diorissimo on my wedding day. It smells like weddings to me 😂

I divorced the abusive git though, so would never wear it again!

moleeye · 18/04/2024 20:36

Getting married in September

Have bought Dior Colle Noir - I love it!

Knitily · 18/04/2024 21:02

I had a summer evening wedding and wore 'Date Night' by replica and it's now my date night perfume. I don't often wear perfume but it's nice to have something special to reach for

Ladysmirnoff1 · 26/04/2024 19:43

Vanilla vibes by Juliette has a gun.

AnnaMagnani · 26/04/2024 19:50

I wore Robert Piguet Fracas. The biggest big white floral I could find.

DerBlaueReiter · 26/04/2024 20:05

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid has a vanillic base but leavened with patchouli and green notes, so not a gourmand. It’s long lasting, has decent sillage, and is a bit uncommon so you won’t smell like anyone else.

TreacleMoon · 26/04/2024 20:26

I've started wearing a newish fragrance - Burberry 'Goddess'
It's very summery, vanilla scent.
I've been stopped numerous times by strangers asking what perfume I'm wearing, I think it would make a lovely wedding scent.

Have a lovely day, whatever scent you choose to wear ❤️

Myhusbandismywholepersonality · 26/04/2024 21:28

I bought a new one on the advice of many people, it’s actually lovely as I only wear it on special occasions so now 5 years later, it still reminds me of our wedding every time I wear it
Im quite fussy with perfume and wanted something sweet but not too sweet, I tried MANY perfumes but the only one I absolutely loved was Chanel Allure, it’s still my favourite perfume to this day!

Jillybloop393 · 26/04/2024 21:34

I love Chanel Allure, but am now wanting to try some of the perfumes mentioned in this post.

Onemorefortheroad · 26/04/2024 21:44

I wore 'Girl of Now' by Elie Saab. Only because I had smelled it on someone else a few weeks before, really liked it and wanted something different to my norm so went for that. However... we had covid just before our wedding and neither of us could smell much at all 🙈😩🤣

MagicSpoon · 26/04/2024 21:59

American cream from lush is amazing !! Or maybe the one from them called vanillary? Mason margiella replica also have plenty of unique scents

cathyburke · 26/04/2024 21:59

I wore Ralph Lauren romance, it's my special occasion perfume!

ScarletWitchM · 26/04/2024 22:00

I had Chance by Chanel and my DH buys it for me yearly as an anniversary gift
