Wedding day perfume?

Hi everyone! I am getting married in June and have been thinking about what perfume to wear. I’d like something light, sweet and vanilla-y I think, but I don’t want to smell like a cupcake. Has anybody come across anything like this? I’m not a big perfume person, the only one I own at the moment is Le Labo The Noir 29 which I love but is quite unisex and earthy, I think I’d like something a little more feminine for my wedding day.

What perfume did you wear on your wedding day? Did you buy a special one or just use one you already had?

I wore Dune by Dior. I’ve just googled it and it’s still going. I want to buy it now as I loved the smell.

OP - I worked for many years on make up counters in the West End as a MUA and skin care Specialist .. I also trained in perfume .. and when you visit Selfridges for a perfume .. take some coffee beans 🫘 (instant coffee will do but beans are preferable) in a little pot /one of those make up pots you can buy in Primark as a set for taking toiletries on holiday etc ..
For every three perfumes you smell .. inhale the coffee beans and wait thirty seconds .. this will clear your ‘nose scent factory’ (as mad as it sounds) so then the next perfumes you smell you can really smell them and they won’t all blur into one! Spray up to three favourites on pulse points .. wrists and neck .. go for a coffee for half hour and then walk outside in the fresh air and see which one smells the best as all perfects react differently to everyone’s skin

I wore a JPG perfume. It has since been discontinued and I only have half a bottle left. I wear it once a year on our anniversary.

Unless you decide on something that's been around for a long time, I'd advise you to buy a good few bottles just in case!

I wore ghost, the original one. My mum used to wear it many years ago and I always loved it. Turns out it was DHs favourite perfume as his mum used to wear it too. Sadly she passed away when he was 10. So it was nice to have a little reminder of her there on the day.

I don't think I wore perfume when I got married over 30 years ago, but one of my favourites now is La Vie Est Belle and I think it would fit your brief perfectly.

I wore Ghost Sweetheart for my wedding. It's light & smells fresh & lasts all day.

I had Estée Lauder pleasures exotic which I loved but sadly they don't do it anymore. Such a shame as I loved it.
