Bikini under pyjamas.

ASighMadeOfStone · 12/04/2024 14:39

Whatever I'd normally wear. Comfy trousers, trainers, layers. Planes are cold.

Twilightstarbright · 12/04/2024 14:40

My go to for flights is an empire line maxi dress, with a cardigan/sweatshirt on top and leggings or tights underneath.

This but with leggings because of the gross toilet floor in planes.

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 12/04/2024 14:42

Normally i go for light pumps, a dress, cardigan and hoody, but for next holiday looking for a light pair of trousers and a tshirt, might chuck a pair of shorts in my hand luggage for when we land.

Ponderingwindow · 12/04/2024 14:45

If I’m going colder to warmer, I wear a long knit dress with leggings, plus a cardigan or hoodie. Then I discard layers like the cardigan and the leggings as it gets warmer. I don’t particularly care about fashion, I just want to be comfortable.

GinandGingerBeer · 12/04/2024 16:04

I usually wear a maxi skirt/vest or T-shirt /cotton jumper or denim jacket then take a sarong in my handbag to wear as a scarf an extra layer.
If I'm going away in winter I'd wear similar but with fleece lined tights underneath and a cashmere hoody on top then take them off in arrivals.

Gettingbysomehow · 12/04/2024 16:05

I always wear a tracksuit on a flight. Everytime.

Overtheatlantic · 12/04/2024 16:06

Linen trousers, a loose fitting Tshirt and a cashmere cardigan.

Sandwichgen · 12/04/2024 16:08

flyingnext week. Goi g to wear athleisure jersey trousers, trainers, t. shirt, cashmere jumper on top. Will take off the jumper when I’m there.

hoping to be on a lounger in much less within an hour of landing

BlancheSaysYes · 12/04/2024 16:08

Maxi dress, lightweight jacket, flowery trainers and a wrap to stave off the air con on the plane.

Bikini under pyjamas.

That’s interesting.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 12/04/2024 16:14

I would wear a peaked cap, a blazer with rings on the sleeve and carry a big square briefcase. You will.postively whizz through security dressed like that.

Aren’t the trousers crumpled after the flight???

GettingtheElectric · 12/04/2024 16:17

Whatever clothes I'd normally wear? I'm not entirely sure what your asking -- is it that you feel you're only really getting dressed for your destination, because you're pretty much getting out of bed and going straight through security?

I think a lot depends on how long your flight is. If it's long-haul, I tend to think more seriously about comfortable clothes for flying/layers etc. If it's less than two hours I wear whatever I would normally be wearing.

Yes they are wrinkled but that’s what happens with linen.

HummingbirdChandelier · 12/04/2024 16:22

I can’t wear linen: I look like I’m burst.

I've discovered the lovely smart looking trousers but they are elastic so super comfortable. I'll be wearing it with a t shirt and a nice cardigan. I'm also wearing my sandals this trip but bringing my socks to keep warm.

JadeSeahorse · 12/04/2024 16:31

I do this a few times per year.

I have some lovely stretch cord leggings, a soft, thinnish long line 3/4 sleeve top and a lightweight Mac. Low block heel shoes.

Always looks smart but casual and comfy.

I’m not sure what that means but I’m sure you will look lovely in your River Island outfit. X

I wear jeans to the airport and then switch to lightweight cotton/linen trousers when I get there. Something like this:

https://lovall.com/products/everyday-linen-trousers-black?variant=44572061303068&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvrH18v-8hQMVAJhQBh1JnwFcEAQYAiABEgJRGPD_BwE

I then put my jeans in my hand luggage. Layers are your friend.

SpringOfContentment · 12/04/2024 16:37

Same as at any other time when flying.
Loose jersey trousers, long sleeved teeshirt, jumper, trainers.
And, yes, this is what i wore when I arrival/departure temperature was 40C+.

Paninaro94 · 12/04/2024 16:39

Relaxed trousers and a tee, probably with trainers. I like wearing compression socks/sleeves on flights so dresses are out.

I am never anything less than roasting on planes so hoodies are out.
