Evening everyone. I'm starting this new thread at a bit of a sad time, and I know we're all thinking of Kate and her family. Let's hope that as we continue in our lighthearted way, good news arrives for her, and others who are in a similar situation, either themselves or loved ones.🌷

I don't know if we missed a Royal memo on The Wearing of Insect Brooches, but I much prefer Camilla's bees to Max's spiders!

Apparently the little bee could be one of the first brooches given to QEII. It's been confirmed that one is from Camilla's own collection and the other belonged to the late Queen's collection.

Camilla also has a stick insect brooch.

Same - I like the bees! Cams looks nice there.

Why would you want one, no matter how many diamonds are in there? I’d be a jittery mess, having scare jumps at my own appearance 😬

I normally like the insect brooches but the spiders are a little too real for me.

This is a nice photo of the Norwegian royals. King Harald looks like he’s recovered from his recent illness and M-M looks well too. It must be strange for the king to look at his grandson and see his father looking back at him. Sverre-Magnus looks very much like photos I’ve seen of King Olav.

Camilla at the Maundy Ceremony at Worcester Cathedral. I like the outfit but I think the bag and gloves could have been better co-ordinated with the boots and hat.

I have an aversion to that style of hat. I'm sure they're very wam but are very unstylish.

I do love them - wearing them is like getting a hug from a hat🤭
Cams looks nice and cosy and I like her trusty boots.
Had to grit my teeth at our local radio station news pronouncing today as Maun-day Thursday! Bit pedantic I know, but its Maundy, grr!

I do love those cosy hats of Camilla's. Agree that the gloves and bag don't quite match but I'm not sure that it matters to her right now.

Another loather of that style of hat here. It looks like it's been made from the fur of a cheap teddy won at a fairground shooting range.
