Evening everyone. I'm starting this new thread at a bit of a sad time, and I know we're all thinking of Kate and her family. Let's hope that as we continue in our lighthearted way, good news arrives for her, and others who are in a similar situation, either themselves or loved ones.🌷

Thank you for the new thread Maireas. I've been reading from time to time since my dad fire at the end of January but haven't had the energy to join in the conversation. Not sure I was as stylish as Kate was at Prince Philip's funeral, but I did hold it together and deliver a speech so I think I did him proud. I wore my mum's emerald ring (a present on their emerald anniversary) which, ahem, I haven't remembered to give back. Yet.

Sad news about Kate, just goes to show that all the money in the world can't protect you from things like this. I hope the family can be left alone for a while and that her health improves.

Anyway, hello to old friends and welcome to the newbies. I'll try and make an effort to join back in.

Absolutely gorgeous, though not keen on her jewellery on this occasion.

I ended up with the corgis and horses - which is fine but a girl's gotta have her chips too 🤷‍♂️

Well, thank you, I'm very touched. And yes, I do have quite the tiara collection plus a couple of crowns and a sceptre and a crown Prince to boot. I'm an extremely organised person, always prepared and this is just an extension of that.....nowt wrong with a tiara for every occasion 😂

Well, that green suit is something!
The grey is very dull, however those spider brooches are interesting!

And Prince Julian of Sweden turns three.
Plus Lady Tatiana Mountbatten - a distant cousin of the King - at her daughter’s christening.

Gawd! The spider brooches get me every time. Shudder. I like the whole insect brooch thing - but UGGHHGGH.

Max looks rather thin and muted. Is her hair less blonde? I look forward to her emergence in massive orange somethings for the summer.

Interesting is one word for the spider brooches, @Maireas . I’m not a fan of arachnids!

Oh I love that sludgy grey/purple colour of Max's jacket, but we're so used to seeing her in much madder colours. If her trousers were dark red, that would be a good combo.

Now I usually love Max's jewellery & don't mind spiders but OMG those brooches look baby huntsmen dipped in molten pewter 😵‍💫

Like her suit though

I like Max's outfit (love the cape) and normally love the creature brooches. But hers are next level terrifying. So realistic 😱
I think the difference is the ones I like (eg: what Debo Devonshire used to wear) are quite diamond-y and gemstone-y.

The woman in green is apparently Max’s PA so maybe she’ll be kind enough to lend her the suit at some point in the future!

Little Julian is very cute and I can see a resemblance to Estelle.
