Royal Style: with hope, our threads continue

Evening everyone. I'm starting this new thread at a bit of a sad time, and I know we're all thinking of Kate and her family. Let's hope that as we continue in our lighthearted way, good news arrives for her, and others who are in a similar situation, either themselves or loved ones.🌷

I spent a year in a ladies dress shop 30 odd years ago, she suddenly has the osteoporosis tummy, which was difficult to fit.

I try to think how she drove a style even our royals followed back in her Dynasty days. So much glamour 💕

It’s the Danish state visit to Sweden today, with Mary and Fred just popping over to Stockholm on their royal yacht. It must be so odd having Crown Princess Victoria suddenly curtseying to you! I’m not a fan of Mary’s navy cape but like her repeated white boucle dress. And lovely that Estelle and Oscar were included in the official lineup (Fred and Mary are their respective godparents).

I am guessing that we’ll see Mary wearing her ruby tiara again tonight? It was originally a a Swedish tiara until Fred’s grandmother Princess Ingrid married King Frederik.

The lighting in that ensemble picture is not good. Victoria looks like she has gone ten rounds with a tanning bed.

I love Max's dress. It's a bit low key for her, but I love the colour.

They also like wearing their tans, as @CliffsofMohair noticed. Madeleine went years looking like she’d been Tangoed!

Fred's gone a bit HMS Pinafore.
The ruby parure is gorgeous, and Mary was obviously trying to highlight that with her dress, but I think it's a bit fussy.
Isn't it her birthday soon?
