Here's Queen Mary, togged up for a forest visit, and releasing deer. I feel that this is quite a Kate look, with the broad brimmed hat, gilet and earth tones. Most practical, and still stylish.

I think she looked more like her sisters then her mother. She was sort of a mix of both of them.

I think Diana clearly had a familial resemblance to her mother and sisters, without actually looking very much like any of them. You can totally see where Harry gets his red hair from though - he’s very Spencer in colouring, though William is far more like his mother facially.

I agree it's quite a Kate outfit - the kind of thing she wears when she meets the Scouts - but the hat is awful imo.

Maybe it’s Mary’s homage to the akubra of her home country. All she’s missing is a few corks dangling from it! But I’m surprised no one has mentioned the c-word - her ensemble is very county!

It's nothing I don't see at every game fair I've visited. When we had geese, ducks, hens and guinea fowl in Wales that had to be let out in the morning a hat like that together with a wax coat and wellies was essential.

I agree, @RockaLock , Sophie does look lovely, formal, but not too fussy.

I agree that those colours suit Sophie, but both the dress and coat were far too long imo. She looked swamped by them.

I am not sure commenting on fashion in relation to a funeral is appropriate, but I thought Leti looked incredibly chic at the funeral mass of Felipe's cousin, Fernando Gomez-Acebo. I love her pearl brooch.

I like how Sophie looks. Hair and makeup are absolutely on point. I think I like what she's wearing but something is slightly off - maybe yes, too long?

I like the length on Sophie but I suspect that's personal preference. The colours are lovely on her.

I definitely have envy for that coat of Sophie’s but that colour is not practical in the real world of getting in and out of a car that is less than 100% sparkling clean 😆

Thanks, @LivelyBlake - more pictures here. The trousers are quite wide, but not the baggy trews we're not keen on. The suit is nicely cut - I like the neatness of the jacket and it's quite a bright cobalt blue, but Mary can carry it off. Her hair looks lovely.
