I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

I was looking for a dupe of the discontinued Becca concealer which sound really similar. I ended up with Collection stretch concealer which comes in a little pot. It's amazing. Under a fiver. Might be worth a try?

Thanks for the tip! I’ve got a ton of possibles I’m working through from Chanel and Sisley to Bourjois and Stila. I’m finding that the cheap as chips ones are often the best so that’ll go on the list for next time I’m at the shops!

The perfume which became my signature scent in the 1980s was Miss Dior.

I had the parfum, the eau de toilette, the body lotion, the soap, the bath granules, a talcum powder (if I remember correctly), the whole lot.

It's since been reformulated, although there is still one product they call Miss Dior Originale, an eau de toilette.

I used to buy Miss Dior sets in House of Fraser, so I was always stocked up.

For a special evening out, I would use the bath granules and soap in the bath, then the body lotion and talc and then the parfum or eau de toilette.

They dropped the sets and additional products for the original Miss Dior a while ago and I really miss them,

They pop up now and then on E-Bay for large sums, but I have been told that they are often not what they seem and not authentic.

I miss this too! I’ve still got the dregs in a bottle.

I don't remember the blue one. we always had a bottle of the pink one in though as my mum used it as her daily facial moisturiser for years until they changed and ruined it, probably explains why mum looks so young for her age now in her 70s! I wish they'd never have changed it.

Ohhh and Lipstick Queen which seems to have disappeared as a brand altogether. It was so good!

I miss Tom Ford's Noir pour femme. Woe is me!

Another vote for actual shops to sell Essence makeup! God, I miss Wilko.

Also Lee Stafford hair products, especially the blonde shampoo and heat protector. Bring back the original fragrance! It was sort of Play Doh meets Angel. Divine.

Prescriptives foundation, Nars all day luminous foundation, Bare Minerals Bare Pro foundation and Bottega Veneta for women. Also smelt Guerlain Shalimar last year as was considering for a sentimental buy and they've definitely changed the formula.
