Thanks to everyone for all these updates, it's really helpful as most of these kits sell out in no time!

BlueLimeRun · 27/06/2024 21:28

It’s not that tempting so far. - not interesting in skin rocks brand, lipstick shade wouldn’t suit - hmm was thinking I’d spend my credit - maybe the rest will be dazzling 🤞

BlueLimeRun · 27/06/2024 21:30

is every calendar going to have good genes in 😠

AprilLady · 27/06/2024 21:33

@BakeOffRewatch thanks for posting. I actually think it looks quite interesting. I bought that Lisa Eldridge eye product only this week - still deciding whether I like it.

But that Bibbi perfume has one of the lowest ratings I’ve seen on Fragrantica. This review is also not exactly selling it:

Wow. Wasn’t expecting it to be released so soon.

I joined BD to save for it last year but ended up not getting it. Kept BD going until a couple of months ago. And have £259 in credit. So can buy the Advent Calendar for £1!

Not sure just yet. I have a Lisa Eldridge eye shadow and am not very keen. Not keen on Good Genes either. Don’t mind the AB cream. Or the Skin Rocks.

TheChosenTwo · 27/06/2024 22:24

Just looked at the advent calendar, I fucking hate that Augustinus Bader waxy greasy cream, I end up using it up on my
knees and feet!
And the Sunday Riley good genes is okay but I think anyone that wants to have tried it has possibly tried it by now.
I like the advent calendars that have loads that I haven’t tried, I haven’t had a liberty one for quite a few years now and what they’ve shown hasn’t changed my mind so far.

Preview of Liberty Advent calendar. Pre sale for BD members on 2nd July with general sale in September. https://beautyadventcalendar.net/liberty-advent-calendar-2024-sneak-peek-pre-order

Augustinus Bader! Does anyone like that stuff!?

I’d use the Bader, La Mer and eyeshadow. Not convinced about the other stuff though.

BakeOffRewatch · 28/06/2024 04:56

Yeah I didn’t like the Bibbi Boy of June EDP inside the fragrance kit either @AprilLady . I finally tried the Escentric Molecules M+ Black Tea EDP yesterday, whoever said it smells exactly like PG Tips is right! Maybe that says a lot about PG Tips?

Augustinus Bader seems like a beauty advent calendar’s in joke now. I’ve never bought an advent calendar, though I’ve followed all the threads and spreadsheets for a few years. I enjoy the over analysis, don’t like buying Christmas stuff before December and then I get busy and things sell out. I felt like I really missed out on the Vogue one last year. I like that the Liberty one is many full sizes. Maybe I’ll sign up to BD again and just go for it in July and hide it after asking DH to check contents. Especially as I’m due in Autumn, so definitely will be too busy this year! Everyone seems happy with the experience of opening the Liberty ones when I’ve followed the threads. I love Lisa Eldridge products.

The link says thousands of people buy it so I guess they hit the mark with some folks.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 28/06/2024 07:28

I've just realised that I'm still waiting for the missing perfume from the perfume kit to be sent. Nearly two weeks ago I was told that it was due back back in stock 'tomorrow' but nothing's been sent. Just emailed them again.

I can't think about advent calendars just yet, it's still June!

Solihullproject · 28/06/2024 07:44

I don't mind Bader stuff - I don't see it's any more magical than other luxury moisturisers though. Not too bad! I expect I'll f&m again though as I have used everything from that, few dod for me.

brogueish · 28/06/2024 12:16

I was really sceptical about the Bader stuff but I have to admit that the Rich Cream is the only thing I've found yet that settles the dermatitis that I get around my mouth. For that, it's amazing. Bit niche though!

drawnfrommemory · 28/06/2024 13:08

I quite like the AB rich cream - it works really well if I get any flaky patches if I overdo the tret!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/06/2024 22:56

Oooooh I do like the look of the calendar

I love the AB Rich Cream! Before I tried it I was a bit meh about it, as how can a face cream be that fabulous?
Then I got the sample in the Beauty Drop Box.

But OMG it is fab! I use it as a night cream & it does plump my face up & hides the dark circles & smooths the fine lines under one eye. It even works on stopping a spot that's brewing.
I say one eye as the other eye has no lines under or round it what so ever.

I was going to buy the AB Rich Cream anyway so in my maths (as the AB is £145) the rest of the contents of the calendar will be 'costing' £95.

BakeOffRewatch · 29/06/2024 06:03

Careful @TracyBeakerSoYeah , the preview of the 2024 Liberty advent calendar says it has AUGUSTINUS BADER The Rich Cream 15ml, so worth is half of £145 30ml I.e. £72.50.

If you want one, you can get it with 20% off right now during the Liberty Loyalty event, they’ve got 30ml and 50ml in stock.

CocoMascara · 29/06/2024 06:38

I love that they’ve given an early calendar teaser! Looks good to me so far, I love those Lisa Eldridge eyeshadows and use good genes, don’t mind the AB cream either!

listsandbudgets · 01/07/2024 14:25

If I get it, I'll be selling the Good Genes as it makes my skin sting and go red and blotchy. Depending on what else is in it, I am therefore likely to choose a different AC this year.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/07/2024 16:34

@BakeOffRewatch you're so right!
I think I got a bit carried away by all the excitement 😂

listsandbudgets · 01/07/2024 17:21

@SwordBilledHummingbird Did you sort out the mystery of the missing perfume?

I got my loyalty voucher this morning - feels like it's been a long time coming

SwordBilledHummingbird · 01/07/2024 18:01

@listsandbudgets They sent it out on Friday when I chased and it arrived Saturday - hurrah! Beautifully wrapped (it came from the store) and is lovely so I'm glad I held out and kept chasing.

paristotokyo · 03/07/2024 08:50

Just seen the email about the advent calendar pre-order and contents. Not tempting I don't think! Only a very few items I'd like to try.

HellsBells67 · 03/07/2024 09:07

Same @paristotokyo I think I'm over these calendars now. If that is 'worth' £1200 I really don't buy into it anymore.

Another76543 · 03/07/2024 09:24

Advent calendar is not brilliant for me. There are 3 liquid exfoliants which seems a bit strange.

listsandbudgets · 03/07/2024 09:27

There are some products in the AC I would like to try but I don't want 2 candles, the Bibbi perfume sounds dreadfu ( not impressed with the one in 2023 AC eother) l and I can't stand Good Genes.. and why oh why is the PK Elastizier there.. that's M&S style not Liberty

I will think about it but would like to.see some of the other offerings first. I liked the look of the Harrods one last year and also F&M.

Does anyone know when the preoder period ends?
