@BCSurvivor I had exactly the same with my bottle. The lid wouldn't move when I first tried to get it off, and seemed to be fused. My daughter and I tried for ages to move it, with no success, although tiny bit of the fragrance leaked out from the bottom of the spray fitting. I was going to email customer services but I got all the fragrances out again a few hours later and I was amazed that the lid just came off. In assume it must have been stuck fast and the little bit of leakage lubricated it.

@BCSurvivor from your photo the lid looks too short. If you compare to my photos you can also see mine has a slight gap which is part of the pump mechanism - I wonder if your lid has somehow sunk down into that gap? If that makes sense?

Just got home to find my package - which is absolutely lovely except that it's missing the Escentric Molecules mini. Is it worth contacting them to see if they'll send the missing sample?

Mine is missing one of the other perfumes. I emailed them to ask them to send out a replacement and they've replied to say they'll 'look into it'.

I think that's what happened with mine, and the tiny bit of fragrance that came out when I was pushing and pulling it must have helped the kid to work loose.

I’m absolutely delighted with the kit. I have been very restrained and only tried one so far but have taken them out of the bag and admired them and then put them back in. I’ll probably do that a few more times this evening

My kit arrived this afternoon. So far - love tiger by her side and Adelphi coast, like the Granada one (no lid) and the bi no one smells like fag smoke on me. I’ll give it to him with the Escentric molecules one (he loves 01).also my morning chess has the kid stuck down like the one up there.

I tried most of them on yesterday then got very confused! Today I'm going try to stick to just Adelphi Sun & try to get to know them one day at a time.

My kit has arrived and love it as much as last years. However, Morning Chess is faulty and impossible to use so have contacted CS who will hopefully sort something out.

Still not had any more than a holding response about my missing perfume, about to email them again. Really disappointed as it's the one I wanted to try the most.

@Primrosespaw @SwordBilledHummingbird after having productive emails with Liberty customer services on Sunday I am also still waiting for the reply confirming a possible refund/resending of Morning Chess that I was assured would be on Monday, once stock levels were checked.
I am wondering if weekend customer service teams are different to the weekday ones?

@BCSurvivor I think they could well be different. My email on Sunday said this:

'Thank you for contacting Liberty Customer Service.

I am sorry to hear that you were missing the Thameen Bravi 10ml within your Scent by Love Perfume kit.

Please bare with me as I look into this for you with our Flagship team. They will be able to contact you further should they have a replacement for the missing perfume.

Should you need anymore further asisstance, please do not hesitate to contact us back. '

I understand that they may not be able to replace it but I'm certainly expecting a partial refund if not so I'm hoping it's just poor wording.

I have received an email saying that Morning Chess is out of stock and he has passed my request to management and will update soon. If they are getting multiple complaints about this product, I would have thought they had got a plan together. I am happy to get a replacement of another fragrance.

@BCSurvivor I've had a reply saying that there's a delay with the replacement (it's the Bravi Thameen that's missing from mine) so I can either wait or have £10 credited to my beauty drop account. I've opted to wait as I really do want to try that perfume. No idea of time scale given though.

When I had a problem with a Liberty delivery (first Amazon nicked my parcel, then Liberty sent the wrong item Hmm) it was basically the same staff member that dealt with my query all the way through.

So when she was off for the weekend, nothing happened - no replies to any emails or anything until she was back on the Monday. Which did surprise me at the time, as all the emails were to/from the generic customer services account, so had I assumed that whoever was working that day would pick it up and reply.

So that might be why some of you are waiting for answers(?)

Re: the missing items - I bought one of the recent kits in-store, and when I paid, they checked how many items were listed on the label and then opened the bag to count how many things were inside.

I had the impression that she did that because missing items was a common problem, rather than thinking I'd tried to sneak something extra in! Grin

I have been emailed back saying they would refund me 10% of the kit price which would be £9.50, yet the value of the perfume is £39.50. I know there was a huge discount to the kit value, but that is the point. If you got a damaged bottle you have a less good deal than those that don't. I have written back saying I expect a replacement bottle even of a different perfume.

I bought the recent fragrance kit and also had a broken bottle of morning chess. The bottle had leaked and it's ruined the packaging of some of the other perfumes. The washbag is also marked. I contacted liberty through WhatsApp and I have only been offered 10% back, as a voucher, or told I can wait to see about a replacement. I asked about a replacement washbag but I've only been told that they don't have any left and gave no other solution. I don't want to send the kit back as the perfumes are still usable but potentially only getting 10% back seems unfair. I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service and pleased that I cancelled my BD. Regardless of the outcome I don't think I will be buying from liberty again.

Liberty customer service seems to have really declined. Now I’m not in beauty drop and can spend elsewhere freely I purchased this from Diptyque directly

I’m delighted with the contents - Ilio is absolutely gorgeous and so summery. It came beautifully wrapped in pouches and tissue paper with a carrier bag too. I got two perfume samples, a mini citronelle candle (amazing scent!) and a tuberose mini candle as a welcome gift as my first direct order. The cardboard “suitcase” arrived a little damaged, asked if it was possible to replace the box. They didn’t have any spare but by way of an apology are sending me an Eau de Sens soap worth £30!!! So generous considering it was just damaged packaging. Now that is fantastic customer service and I will definitely purchase direct from them again.

Hope you all get a better response for the perfume, 10% seems very stingy as replacement for expensive perfume.

It seems legit. But I think I will go to the Liberty website and request a password reset from there, just in case...
