IVlove that Fenwicks GWP but it would negate the whole point of my buying ban. Very very tempted though

User8ikr · 13/05/2024 09:25

narrowly avoided the fairly decent Harrods GWP and 15 pc off as still running things down…narrowly! Was fairly good selection.

Housewife2010 · 13/05/2024 09:26

Even though I'm really trying not to spend, I ordered the Cult Beauty Trending Edit. Lots of lovely make up and some skincare.

Also I cleared out my Liberty credit by buying a pair of Celine sunglasses in the sale. Loved Anne Hathaway's pair in "The Idea of You'. These are similar and hopefully suit me/feel comfortable.

Ooohh I saw those Celine sunglasses - v nice!

Peridot1 · 13/05/2024 09:42

@Housewife2010 - I succumbed to the Cult Beauty Edit too. It’s my birthday this week so I treated myself.

Back21970 · 13/05/2024 13:04

I’m waiting for my Cult Beauty Edit, only ordered it on Saturday and impressively arriving today - do find their edits to be really good value.

Think my Beauty Drop days are numbered unless there’s something tempting soon.

LoveLabradors · 13/05/2024 14:25

I got the Cult Beauty trending edit too. I’ve loved the last few edits. Have to admit I’m glad to have finished with Liberty now and be free to spend money where the best kits/edits/gifts/stock are.
I would say the Liberty sale this time is one of the better ones but given that once again I can’t access my account I’m not bothering!

Peridot1 · 13/05/2024 19:10

They are really good value @TreesinthePark. Trying hard to resist!

RedSwans · 13/05/2024 23:09

I am probably being impatient as I only ordered on Friday but has anyone had their Fenwick order dispatched yet?

Sunnydaysarehereonceagain · 14/05/2024 05:50

@RedSwans I ordered on Thursday and am still impatiently waiting…….

Summerdew · 14/05/2024 07:06

Fenwicks can take ages to dispatch, and they sell you things that are out of stock and keep them advertised on the website. It took a month for them to send me a dress in January, no doubt unusually long but just a warning it might not be quick!

violetmondays · 14/05/2024 10:26

Ooh I came on here to ask if anyone else had received their Fenwicks order! I’ve never ordered from there before but ordered on Friday and it’s still ‘waiting for allocation’. Wonder why they are so slow compared to others?

Summerdew · 14/05/2024 13:43

I think it’s because they are a quite traditional family business (or were) and never invested in tech, it’s only relatively recently that you can buy online from Fenwicks at all.

RedSwans · 14/05/2024 14:12

I’m glad I’m not the only one! Hopefully soon!

space nk have got a GWP if of interest to anyone. It doesn’t call to me, lots of small sizes again and nothing wow to me. As I said upthread I think across the big beauty retailers fabulous GWPs are a thing of the past now.

Free Beauty Gift with Purchase | Space NK

For a limited time only, get a free beauty gift worth over £335 when you spend £175.

periodiclabel · 15/05/2024 09:15

None of these recent GWPs speak to me, too many small sizes of brands I've seen again and again, I think you're right @LoveLabradors - fabulous GWPs have gone the way of GP appointments, they don't exist any more! Probably not a bad thing in my case as I have about 20 years of backlog still to get through

ObliviousCoalmine · 15/05/2024 09:19

Minis/travel sizes seem to be the great divider. I really like them, and use them a lot travelling. I don't overly like buying them just because if I'm spending £40 on skincare, it tends to be better to buy one good thing than lots of minis that have a higher £ to ml ratio.

I've also found quite a lot of products through minis which I've gone on to buy the full sizes of.

BCSurvivor · 15/05/2024 10:29

I'm still wavering with the new kit.
Can anyone who's had the new kit tell me what the Bibbi fragrance is like?

User8ikr · 15/05/2024 10:40

Oooh I fell into the space one - it had several things I wanted to try, and I had to buy a couple of gifts anyway. I do find the small sizes useful for trips. But I do agree they aren’t the gwp of yesteryear!

LoveLabradors · 15/05/2024 10:49

I do like a selection of small sizes for travelling but I do miss some full sizes, luxe perfume and diptyque candle though!

User8ikr · 15/05/2024 11:52

Absolutely! And there’s a fine line between small and microscopic!

CinnamonCoffee · 17/05/2024 13:38

Has anyone received their order from Fenwick? Mine came this afternoon.

Sunnydaysarehereonceagain · 17/05/2024 14:10

@CinnamonCoffee , mine came yesterday. Really happy with the GWP 😊
