@venus7 shocking re the pendant. Likewise I’m glad I’m not the only one who is increasingly disappointed - it’s a shame and I hope they can turn it around. I suppose the only thing in fairness to Liberty GWPs is that Cult Beauty and Space NK have declined too, they all tend to be small samples now and much the same each time. Perhaps with increasing costs the days of great GWPs have gone? Maybe we are just hoping for too much? The service definitely needs a kick up the backside though….

Indeed; I'd settle for excellent service, and no gifts.......though they are lovely, sometimes!

Revelatio · 25/04/2024 20:12

I’ve had really good service from Liberty. I once ordered a jewellery item and it was just an empty box - had no idea how I would prove it. They were lovely and replaced without quibble.

I probably an odd one who like the Malin stuff, haven’t tried the cleanser, but have loved the shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant and ordered full sized.

Can’t believe the Seated Queen has gone into administration. I really liked the oil they did. Not the cold cream though, I still have loads of that from previous drop boxes and GWPs.

I also take back what I said about the elasticiser! I tried it about 8yrs ago and hated it as felt it made my very fine hair too elastic and frazzled. I decided to give this one a go and left it in over night and my hair feels lovely. To me though, it’s not a luxury brand, I can buy it in M&S with the food shop! I miss the lux feeling of the boxes and trying something completely new, not the same old crap they put in the boxes - has anyone not tried CEO cream for example, I swear it’s in every box!!

listsandbudgets · 25/04/2024 21:18

Gutted to hear about Seated Queen - I'm going to miss the cold cream. I have no idea what I'll replace it with I use it almost every night and my skin has changed so much for the better

@Revelatio I liked the M&G shampoo and conditioner samples too. They are on the list to buy once I lift my buying ban - probably start of June.

viques · 25/04/2024 22:12

I like the Grapefruit cleanser, really fresh feel to my skin, and grapefruit smell.I can’t eat grapefruit because it does things to my medication so putting it on my face is a good compromise.

Revelatio · 25/04/2024 23:00

@listsandbudgets
good to know! I may try the cold cream again. I put it on at night but it’s so heavy even in winter. It doesn’t seem to moisturise, just sit there. I was wrong about the elasticiser, so hoping I can make use of the cold cream. My skin is so sensitive and prone to redness.

The cold cream was my favourite TSQ product; I use it most nights too.
I thought TSQ were doing well...their products widely available and so on. Guess it's a very crowded, competitive market.

DaisyDando · 26/04/2024 06:07

That’s such sad news about The Seated Queen.

BakeOffRewatch · 26/04/2024 06:59

I’ve never tried the Sunday Riley CEO cream 🤣 @Revelatio

I have an unused The Seated Queen cold cream from the Liberty Beauty Drop, happy to send it to you @listsandbudgets

User8ikr · 26/04/2024 09:01

I’ve found that products that did nothing for me 5 years ago work now - skin hated skin oil til I hit 40 and now, it can’t get enough of them.

i liked seated queen too, I hope it carries on I. Some form.

Pigtailsandall · 26/04/2024 09:29

I quite like the CEO cream. It's not life-changing but it's a perfectly good cream. I got a big version of SR Good Genes, which really worked for me, and I got a few small cream pots as a free gift. Will definitely use those.

I didn't get on with the Seated Queen Cold Cream. It seemed to almost sting my skin? I feel like the scent was also off.

listsandbudgets · 26/04/2024 17:40

If you got the Le Labo rose balm in the AC what do you think of it? The scent is lovely going on but barely seems to last half an hour, fades to something that smells a bit like a greasy sink and then (thankfully) disappears completely. Given the price of the stuff I was expecting great things. I love rose scents.

I can't think that everyone has this experience so must be something to do with the way my skin or even my nose interacts with it

@BakeOffRewatch Thank you I will send you a pm

Peridot1 · 27/04/2024 13:24

Cult Beauty have a nice GWP at the moment. The Dewy Skin Kit. Free with an £85 spend on skincare. I’ve just ordered the Murad Retinol eye serum which I read about somewhere recently and wanted to try.

I know some of you love a good GWP! I thought this was good. Some small sizes but I will use travelling. I’ve been running down my small sizes so struggled a bit when I was going away recently.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 28/04/2024 20:18

I’ve also just placed a CB order and picked up that kit. I bought the Omorovicza Midnight Radiance mask — a repurchase for me, and I think originally back in the mists of time, I might first have tried the product in a small version from a Liberty box? Can’t remember for certain, but I love it.

Also, CB are currently doing a separate offer of a 30ml Queen Essence or some such thing, with a spend on Omorovicza of roughly the amount I spent — so they threw that in too, and an e-gift card, because I’m a level 3 CB loyalty person these days and they are doing an offer.

I’m amazed all of that stacked, but it did. I am also aware that being level 3 means I’m spending too much there and need to rein it in! Although tbf, I reached that level mainly by buying DD various wished-for items at Christmas, so I’m not expecting to remain there forever.

Mystery2345 · 28/04/2024 22:08

I have ordered a diptique perfume and a dizzee moisturiser (which either a GWP or BD introduced me too in fairness) and get GWP. Have used up all credit, need to decide whether it's now time to leave or pay £10 for the next box. What a first world problem eh!

Bimblesalong · 29/04/2024 11:22

I've cleared my remaining funds with a couple of the nice porto soaps and the oi hair milk. Between putting the items in my bag and checking out, one went out of stock and then on trying to replace the website was very glitchy on stock levels, showing as available then "not found" on going through.

I'll save the majority of my future purchases for in-store as web purchases have been really frustrating with poor stock levels. I'm sure the occasional gift collection will tempt me as these have often been good and a pleasure to receive. Not enough to keep pouring money in every month though.

Clogsinbog · 29/04/2024 22:52

Thanks for the heads up on the GWP on CB @Peridot1. Unfortunately it's not showing up for me, perhaps sold out or maybe available only to some customers. Never mind, will wait for the bits I want to get back into stock at liberty, so I can use up my balance...

Peridot1 · 30/04/2024 08:48

@Clogsinbog - I think it must be sold out. I’ve just looked as need a gift and thought I might make the spend to get another.

BCSurvivor · 30/04/2024 10:17

I'm so glad not to be tempted by this new kit as I've overspent recently.
If it was under £100 I may have been tempted, but I can't justify £130 - even minus 10% discount at the moment.

Another76543 · 30/04/2024 10:23

The candle choice seems quite autumnal - strange for a spring kit. And more unisex woody perfume!

BakeOffRewatch · 30/04/2024 10:25

Ooh thanks @HellsBells67 . I love the print on this one and it has 6 full size products. The “Go With The Flow” kit is still in stock though, I thought they did one at a time. Hopefully a really good GWP coming up.

UntamedShrew · 30/04/2024 10:38

Ooh I love this kit - no hair stuff, 3 of my go-to brands in it - but products that are new to me… in fact I’ll use everything in this one. Done deal for me!

BakeOffRewatch · 30/04/2024 10:43

There’s a hair oil @UntamedShrew . Lots of moisturisers which I love.

UntamedShrew · 30/04/2024 10:52

Oh you’re right! Down the list and my mind was made up by then (I’m a marketer’s dream haha). Will pass to a friend anyway.
