Hi does anyone have a kipling bag - they look nice and light but are they seriously uncool?

I have a few - so yes, probably very uncool!

Damn! I was going to get a back pack and a handbag. :) I might just go for it.

I've got a couple and I love them. If you like them go for it!!

Netcam · 10/03/2024 11:34

I have quite a few, they are really durable, you can stick them in the washing machine when they get dirty, last forever and have great pockets. Probably very uncool, but they are good for carrying stuff, which is what bags are for I think.

jellyfishbubbles · 10/03/2024 11:38

Oh great! Washable is great. I'm looking at the Seoul backpack in the sale but keep being distracted by the purses and things

You're right. I still get throwback to bring the kid at school without the right back back etc. I should care less. I love how pockety they are.

hey, I have the cheap dupe version of those bags.....I didnt even realiese they were a copy!! (I love the little gorilla dude attached to the side!LOL).
They are brilliant and I have several for general use, dog walking and a bigger one for work. I love all the pockets and compartments and the fact they are waterproof is a huge bonus.

Def very uncool and frumpy though....but who gives a fook!?

Edited

I have a Kipling purse as well, it's lasted years.

VictoriaPink · 10/03/2024 11:54

I have some Gabbie bags for everyday. They are so practical and get a lot more use than my posh bags. Also great for taking on planes; you can fit anything in there.

WAGGINGTONGUE · 10/03/2024 11:58

I have a Kipling as a handbag and a Gabbie for the the plane/holiday

Skyellaskerry · 10/03/2024 11:58

I use mine every day, I don’t care about cool or not!

TheFormidableMrsC · 10/03/2024 12:02

I am far from uncool and love my Kiplings. I do take the monkeys off though. If you want something light and trendy try the Fablou nylon bag. You can buy a separate tag if you want to go on it. They are really nice. Code LUNA gets you a discount currently.

dementedpixie · 10/03/2024 12:03

Think it's a Gabbie I've got too. I also have a big kipling purse

Ahhh! Thank you. Perhaps next payday I'll stretch to a purse

I don't like the monkeys so glad they are removable

You will never regret getting a backpack. We have a couple and use them for days out and stuff like that. They are so comfortable!

I had the monkeys for when the kids were little and it used to work as a great distraction in the supermarket/airport/whatever.
Kids not to little now, so less of an excuse (but mine are still on <hangs head in shame>).

However, I did get a good deal on a bright pink small shoulder bag - they had knocked a few quid off as the monkey was missing.

indigoemerald · 10/03/2024 12:41

I have a Seoul backpack which i used for uni. Sooo many pockets and zips which I loved as I could keep everything organised, but I found it wasn’t great for my back (even when I wasn’t carrying much in it).

I’ve also got a Youri Spin cabin suitcase and I love it so much. It’s lasted me years and the wheels are so smooth. Again, lots of different pockets and compartments which is really handy. Never thought I’d spend so much money on a small suitcase but it’s definitely been a good investment!

WAGGINGTONGUE · 10/03/2024 12:46

I take the monkey off and use it as a keyring

burnoutbabe · 10/03/2024 12:48

I had the backpack for university plus travelling (the laptop version)

Plus sone netta cross body bags for day to day. With gorillas on! Nice and roomy

Don't think they sell anymore soo get off eBay now

mynewusername2023 · 10/03/2024 12:48

I absolutely love Kipling bags and have about 20. Don't care if they are uncool, they are comfortable, waterproof and have so much organisation. They are perfect for every day and holiday. Look at QVC as they do some great deals.

I also hate the monkeys so take them off.

Workingmytickettoparadise · 10/03/2024 12:54

Have a look on QVC @jellyfishbubbles as they feature Kipling pretty regularly if memory serves correctly. I have no experience of then but they do look super useful.

SpringSparrow · 10/03/2024 12:55

Ice had several kiplings over the years and I like the monkeys particularly the toy ones rather than the metal ones. However, have you looked at Roka bags? They are my new favourite. They had a lucky dip sale in January where you could get a surprise rucksack for £30.
