I've just had the worst haircut

He's cut it all round like a fucking page boy cut.

I told him I didn't like it and showed him the photos and that it's long at the front, it's passed the jaw!

I'm so upset. My hair was passed my shoulders and I've felt really horrible lately and wanted to feel better.

I feel so fucking ugly :(

I think it looks kinda cool.
and TBF on those photos the hairdresser would have no idea what the back looks like....did you ask for it to be graduated towards the front?

It's very similar to the photos but you do need to style yours better - maybe put a few waves/curls in it and see how you feel. At the end of the day it will grow back and if you still hate it you're not stuck like this forever.

Sympathies. I had a disastrous hair cut 18 months ago. I came out and sobbed then booked somewhere else where they were able to make it more like I wanted.

A friend recommended collagen tablets which made my hair grow quickly so within a few weeks I was at a stage where I almost liked it.

Are you the blocked out pic and the other 2 are what you showed the hairdresser?
If so I agree the front sides should be longer. I think I would tie those bits up together if you know what I mean until they grew a bit, that would look good.

I'm sure in a couple of weeks it'll look better. You could try waving it a bit with straighteners, the model in the pictures has that 'not a curl' curl in her hair.

Theyve not done what you asked for I can see that. Sides are shorter and back whispier. But it’s definitely not a disaster and I you’ll be able to style it in a cool way till it grows out. I’m glad you got a refund and said you weren’t happy. It takes courage. I’m trying to grow out the hair cut from hell (but it is what I asked for) which looks awful on me and is a nightmare to style. My hair is very slow growing. I feel your pain. Id not go back as I think it’ll end up with more chopped off to get it more like what you asked for.

I've straightened it and if I pin the sides up it looks OK.

But I'm going to have to go get it evened out as its completely different lengths on each side!

I think the cut is nice, have you tried messing it up a bit?

I've been there and I know it is devastating.

However, on the plus side, you have lovely, thick healthy hair that will recover well. Even though it's shorter than you'd like, you can definitely carry a shorter style off. So keep your chin up, the worst of this will grow out in a couple of months.

But can you trust them to even it up ? I agree you’ve got lovely thick, healthy looking hair and I think you’ll be able to style it till you grow it out enough to get what you ask for, but that’s not the point really. It does look to be a choppy style but that’s no excuse for it not being even both sides.

The fringe is a bit psychopathic Brit in a Netflix western, but that'll grow in a matter of days. You've got enviable thick, healthy, shiny hair so this is merely a teeny blip. Embrace the style I reckon!

I certainly don't think its atrocious , the 2 models hair has been tweaked and tousled for the photographs , it's unlikely their hair looks that good 24/7.
It may not be as you asked which is upsetting and i know what that feels like ! but with the correct products you could end up liking it ,and after all its hair and it'll be grown longer before you know it.

Same thing happened to me.I asked for a hair cut short at the back,and longer on the front.Similar to a bob.I left with what I can only describe,as a bowl hair cut.its all one length and stops before my ears.The photo I showed had hair coming down to my chin 😂😂.Nothing I can do about it now but grow it out.I do like your hair cut,even tho it's not what you wanted.You can do a few styles with it.It will grow back quickly.

I think you need to make it look messy and wavy. Maybe some sea salt spray.

That second photo looks like a terrible cut OP.
Is this the first time you've been to that hairdresser?
He should have explained what he could do compared with the photos you supplied. The model photos look like the hair has been styled a lot after the cut to achieve that effect.
If I were you I'd ask around friends for a recommendation of another hairdresser to go to in future.

Omg. What on earth did he do? I would complain to his manager if he has one. That man should be allowed to cut hair.

I think its very similar to the photo. It just needs more wax and styling. Its a little shorter so in a few weeks itll be longer like the pic of the one you wanted.
