What to wear to Taylor Swift?

Going to Taylor Swift in June with my daughters. What shall I wear? I’m in my early 50s, size 12. The only thing I’m certain of is that I really want to wear cowboy boots!! Outfit ideas please - the only thing I really can’t wear I think is frills!

Quick question for those attending Wembley: did I see somewhere that we can’t bring bags or that they have to be clear plastic ones? Or did I dream that?! Thanks and sorry to hijack the thread. I second the importance of comfortable shoes, it’s going to be a long day!

(PS I’m going 1989 as I already had a sparkly bomber jacket and am borrowing my daughters pleated pleather skirt. Cant wait!!)

Intrigued by the heels that convert to flats!!

Pashion Footwear from USA. Bit pricey though!

Oh! I'm taking DD and neice - she said they'd be dressing up but it didn't cross my mind that I could too. Great excuse to dig out a sparkly number Grin although it sounds as thought it's more complicated than that...

It's not really. If you're not sure others can definitely advise you.

Sparkly covers so many eras depending on the style and colour.

The bags gad to be clear for the US venues but most of the advice I've seen for UK/Ireland is just that the bag has to be small.

I’m wearing a long white dress with (comfy) gold cowboy boots. I’ll be in my Fearless era ☺️ Have an amazing time OP.

Ahhhh many thanks indeed @NeverTalksToStrangers2 — I can take finding a clear bag off my to do list. Cheers!!

@Oncetwicethreetimesalady random question but I'm taking my 10DD 13th June to Anfield and have no idea where to park!
Do you know the area?
I've seen you can book peoples drives, but not sure how safe it will be to walk 10 mins from the stadium as I assume it will be about 11.30pm when we get out.
Do you think they'll be police/security around the surrounding area once it finishes as I assume it will be a high % female audience...

P.s I have gold cowboy boots and thinking of cut offs and a slogan t shirt..my 10DD has a purple fur coat for Midnights...she will sweat!!!

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 05/03/2024 20:51

@feellikezerobucks

10 minutes from stadium I am sure it will still be packed with people.

I am thinking we will have to walk all the way back to the city centre as assume it will take longer than that to wait for public transport.

I will have to try and ask for local knowledge though as again have no idea of the area.

I'm not sure how I'm getting away from the stadium either. We're travelling by train and I've booked a Travelodge for the night but it's a couple of hours away from Anfield. Anyone with local knowledge? I'm happy to take a taxi or Uber if available, but probably need to prebook, don't have a clue about exits etc though.

upanddowns · 06/03/2024 00:04

Also, does anyone know which train station is closest to Anfield?

Brackenfield · 06/03/2024 13:23

The Tripadvisor travel forum is probably a good place to hunt out/ask useful info re access to Anfield etc. Ive asked similar for Dublin

Whatever you want, no one will be looking at you.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but absolutely no one will care what you are wearing.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but absolutely no one cares about your dreary opinion.

Not quite what to wear but travel. I have been keeping an eye on trains and yesterday checked on trip.com that it was open for return journey on15th June so this morning logged on. Approx cost London - Liverpool return well under £100.

This morning logged on assuming I could buy for a Sunday return prices £200 and then disappeared in front of my eyes. Do they just have a limited number? Trainline arent showing even though it's now 12 weeks?

I need to book trains as well, prices were reasonable last week, but couldn't afford then. Hoping they haven't gone up too much!

Hello OP! I can't believe I missed this thread. Am early 50s, going with friends, and I'm definitely dressing for the occasion! But, it is so hard. June, Wembley, so it will be guaranteed to be either absolutely pouring, or boiling, boiling hot. Nothing in between. Also, need to remember, fabulous outfits in Australia but I think it was all seated, and if you're on the pitch, (I am), there aren't seats, and it will be messy and given my age/back/knees, I'll have to sit some of the time.

I'd like to think I'll be in a floaty pink satin slip dress, (although I really wish I was young enough to wear those fabulous sequin leotards!). I think I'm changing to the idea of jeans, white t and gold fringed/sequin jacket.

I've started making my friendship bracelets!! It is very therapeutic lol. See you there?!

Ah amazing!! I’m seated - right at the VERY top of the stadium!! I’ve bought a white broderie anglais dress and a small light denim jacket from Vinted which I think will work. Planning on some bright fun boots as well! I think jeans and sequins sounds great. Hope you have a marvellous time xx

It's 13 weeks, not 12.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 17/03/2024 20:08

@NeverTalksToStrangers2 that will be why then.....!

Wonder why trip.com were selling them?

Maybe they buy allowances of them or something

bananasaredelicious · 18/03/2024 08:35

@4kids2cats I'll give you a wave! I might have a floaty summer dress ready as a back up too in case weather is good, but am concerned that will just look like a floaty summer dress and not like I've made an effort...if that makes sense?... I do keep changing my mind! I'm also thinking about embellishing some trainers too...? x

@bananasaredelicious

I'm standing too so shoes are very important, I'm wearing trainers for practical reasons. Think Cardiff has a roof at least !

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 24/03/2024 12:42

@NeverTalksToStrangers2

Not yet! The Avanti website says not open yet for the Sunday and when I checked this morning Trainline were only showing a return journey at 11.30pm.

I'm panicking a bit - if it comes to it I can drive but I'd rather now. That reminds me I will check the websites again - I'm stalking them!
