What to wear to Taylor Swift?

Going to Taylor Swift in June with my daughters. What shall I wear? I’m in my early 50s, size 12. The only thing I’m certain of is that I really want to wear cowboy boots!! Outfit ideas please - the only thing I really can’t wear I think is frills!

@OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon
our doors opened at 16:00, support was 18:00 ish, TS came on at 19:15 and started Karma at 22:30.

Doors at 17:00 for a 19:00 start seems tight so might want to check that.

@WeirdButFuckingBeautiful

Thank you, she says her ticket says doors open at 16.30 tho the info says 17.00.

We are aiming to get her there for 17.00 pm ish.

I originally had tickets to Edinburgh but had to sell them due to the flights/hotel/planned spending money just being astronomical! I managed to get tickets for Cardiff yesterday though and I’m not ashamed to admit I cried 😂

As it’s last minute my planned outfit isn’t quite what I would have gone for but I’m hoping it works! I’m going Reputation era. I’ve ordered this dress and some diamanté snake print tights. I’ve got a huge emerald green cocktail ring with a snake wrapped around it. I may try and do my make up in the same style as Taylor’s from the Reputation tour!

@Tattooedcoffeeaddict That dress is beautiful! Hope you have a great time.

HandsDown84 · 12/06/2024 15:22

Love the dress! Anxiously awaiting my 1989 earrings from Vinted...

Edinburgh night 3 was amazing! Here was my outfit. Was going to tag the trolls from the first pages as a fu but decided they're not worth my time... 💅 Honestly didn't see one person who didn't go for a bit of an era themed outfit.

Out of curiosity how were your feet by the end of the night?! I'm wearing trainers 🙈

The full story is I wanted them off by the second song, but then next era came on and I was jumping about singing and dancing. Wore them for the whole show, whilst perched on the top of seat so could still see during slow songs. The shoes convert into flats or low heels but I didn't think to change them over until the end - Taylor sets change was so quick! Literally almost no break for over 3 hours.

Whilst I was changing to low heels, Taylor left the stage post show and was waving in our direction and I forgot I had one 4 inch heel on so I almost went flying in my excitement to wave back hahaha.

You look amazing @Pepsipepsi! two more sleeps for me

storagefilter · 13/06/2024 07:13

I read sky news this morning and apparently the dancing at Edinburgh last weekend set off earthquake monitors!

feellikezerobucks · 14/06/2024 10:00

I was at Anfield last night and whatever you wear make sure it's warm as the wind was strong and it was freezing!!!!!

addies · 14/06/2024 19:44

I'm currently catastrophising. We've been planning and excited for the Cardiff show for a year. DD is autistic and so we've spent so much time watching, preparing etc. she's so excited. However, now her best friend has a high temp and DD is in bed with bad stomach cramps. No temp for DD but if she were to get one we simply wouldn't be able to go as she reacts too badly to fevers. Wtf do we do then? 😫😫😫

Even if she is sick, she'll likely feel a lot better by Tuesday night, surely? Try not to worry too much.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 15/06/2024 07:30

@addies fingers crossed she's better by then.

We are in Liverpool - came up last night. Dropped bags at hotel then went up to Anfield to buy merch and hang out for a little bit outside. We sat on grass outside front of stadium which was chilled / loads of people (mainly with younger kids) either blankets / picnic chairs and food. They did then come and move people but I think that was only because it was opposite the houses. People moved round to the side and there seemed to be no effort to move them away from there. That was a bit more lively - lots of singing.

We are going to do some of the Taylor trail today and then show tonight.

Pepsipepsi · 15/06/2024 10:43

If anyone has a code for the latest ticket master Cardiff show that I can use please please message me. Been on here for years. The sale just came up again but I'm not on the wait list 😔

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 15/06/2024 12:07

@Pepsipepsi pretty sure codes are still linked to emails. So it wouldn't work to get a code from someone else.

I know. Basically if anyone can buy a spare ticket then I'd send the money over PayPal goods and services so we're both protected from scams under PayPal T&Cs.
Just putting it out in the ether, as don't ask don't get. 🫶

Pepsipepsi · 15/06/2024 17:50

@addies i really hope your daughter and her friend feel better by Tuesday. I understand the frustration when you prepare so much but then something unexpected happens at the last minute. We had issues with Murrayfield losing our disabled parking application. Very stressful right before the show. Hopefully it doesn't come to it as most kids bounce back from these things in a few days but...

If the worst happens and you can't find a way to recoup the ticket cost i will buy them off you. I only want a max two but I will buy up to 4 if that's what you have. I spent so long researching these damn tickets I know exactly how to resell the extras online, even though I'd never plan that cos I hate extra life admin.

If you don't want to sell them to a random I'd happily talk you through listing them yourself online on proper websites (Stubhub & twickets are both ok, in short avoid any not named here). Just want to help Swifties in a pickle. ☺

So what are people going to Wembley doing for food, I’m driving and parking at the Stadium, we want to see Paramore, I’m worried it’s going to be super busy, thinking about parking, heading away from Wembley for late lunch/early dinner then going back? Maybe getting snacks at the stadium? It’s such a long show, don’t want to miss anything or be hungry..

CandiedPrincess · 16/06/2024 09:54

Argh I have no idea what to wear. I am way fatter than I wanted to be so struggling with body image etc (2 stone overweight right now). Need some inspo!

heretodestroyyou · 16/06/2024 09:54

We haven't decided about food either. If we can get early hotel check in I think we'll go over early, get some lunch and our merch then just have hotel snacks for dinner.

Or if no early check in, stop somewhere on the way and have lunch.

We're getting a coach and should arrive at about 3ish. We're going to go and eat something substantial then. We're standing but we're happy to be at the back where we can chill and dance etc, no need to be in the scrum. We'll get in there to see Paramore WHO I LOVE. Seen them live before and they are great.

What Era do you like? What colours suit you? And when is your date?

August, Wembley. I've just panic-bought two sequin dresses from Vinted.

heretodestroyyou · 16/06/2024 10:51

@CandiedPrincess you've got loads of time, don't panic. Vinted is a good shout. I've seen lots of insta and TikTok posts saying people will be selling their outfits once they've been for their dates.
