Communal changing rooms in places like Miss Selfridge. So glad that these, to my knowledge, don’t exist any longer.

I loved the fact that people would buy the matching bag and shoes in the 80s and that shops did actually sell them.

I always had a matching bag and shoes.

Hair mascara anyone?

Another one for skirts / dresses over jeans / trousers. I got massively taken in by this, what were we thinking?

Wearing only a push up bra beneath a suit jacket in the office. Power dressing gone mad.

1980s huge shoulder pads - ghastly trend that made us all look like pro wrestlers.

They still get recommended to balance out pear shapes.

So this season H and M is full of classic colours, paired back styles and fake pearls. People forget this is 80s. We went through a lot of different styles in the 80s. It wasn’t perms and shoulder pads for 10 solid years

I agree. I was in my 20s for all of the 80s and look back fondly on many of my clothing choices of those days, when fashion was so much fun. However, I never had a perm (didn't need one!) and hated shoulder pads.

BodyShop Extra Red Henna - smelled like an old ashtray , looked like cow turd , took hours to clean up, while you set aside an entire day to do the process ...but the glossiest auburn locks imaginable

I tried this when I was 15. It was this clumpy green powder but twas “natural” so considered ok. It was also very VERY unpredictable. My hair came out the colour of carrots that had also been tangoed - bright luminous orange. I was so mortified my mum rang up my part time job and told them I was ill whilst I re-dyed it back to brown with clairol 🤣😩😂

@70isaLimitNotaTarget

Not sure what the difference was but I wore navy blue velour (eeekk) to school disco. I am short and was chubby too - looked like Tweedledumb!
