Morning! I'm starting a new thread before I go to work as it may get filled before this evening.

I think Stephanie would look better with a brighter lipstick but she seems quite a shy person so it wouldn't be her thing I suspect.

Eaumyword · 01/03/2024 08:47

Crumbs! Agree with the Wonder Woman vibes and not in a good way! Eug showed us how to wear it well on her wedding day.
Sorry guys, I know I'll be alone with this, but I like EBG's all grey outfit!

KillingMeDeftIy · 01/03/2024 09:20

I like Mary’s ensemble apart from the pale grey boots, which just look a bit weird. The berry top is lovely on her.

Papergirl1968 · 01/03/2024 20:07

Yes, I think Eugenie’s boobs look weird in the second wedding dress. I loved her tiara and wedding dress though.
Here are Lady Helen Taylor and Princess Olympia.

(Lady Helen at the Prince’s Trust gala dinner and Princess Olympia at Paris Fashion Week)

Maireas · 01/03/2024 20:12

Lady Helen looks lovely, she's very elegant. I normally don't like shiny fabric, but this is nice.

OP posts:
MotherofPearl · 01/03/2024 20:30

Lady Helen looks very elegant there, I agree.

I'm not keen on Princess Olympia's outfit. I dislike asymmetrical hems and I think white shoes are tacky.

Maireas · 01/03/2024 20:35

Yes, I agree about Olympia - it's a strange mismatch.

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 01/03/2024 20:45

The shoes look lethal on cobblestones!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 02/03/2024 01:33

Lady Helen is the double of her Mum Katharine.

Random fact: Katharine Worsley (became the Duchess of Kent on her marriage) is a descendant of Oliver Cromwell.
I bet he's turning in his grave seeing that a descendant of his (Lady Helen) is also a descendant of Charles I.
Well that's fate/destiny having the last laugh!

Another photo from the Luxembourg Court of the Czech State Visit. I like Stephanie’s printed dress - I think it’s a flattering style and fabric choice for her. Maria-Teresa’s feathered top is also a fun choice, but the Czech president’s wife has been the best dressed for this whole visit.

Anda (super-heavily filtered!) photo has emerged of Meghan and Harry on their First Nations community visit in Whistler recently. Meghan’s wearing a Dior top (which was originally worn under a black buttoned hip-length coat). Honestly, why spend Dior money on something that shapeless and which creases so badly?

Stephanie’s dress is a bit dowdy but I’m just not into floral prints. MT’s ensemble is fun in a camp way though. She always gives good earrings too.

Maireas · 02/03/2024 09:28

I like Eva Pavlova's outfit, the skirt is lovely, and I agree with you, @KillingMeDeftIy about Stephanie's dress. It's a nice print and a good shape and style for her. MT, what can I say? Feathers? Why not.
Meghan's top looks awful. Dior? Why so shapeless and creased?

OP posts:
KillingMeDeftIy · 02/03/2024 09:33

I don’t know if even top designers can do anything about fabric crumpling. Look at the amount of “shoulda caught the bus” moments we see on the red carpet! Short of having a stylist on hand with a steamer the moment she took her coat off, I don’t know what Meghan could do to prevent the creases.

Serenster · 02/03/2024 09:37

I’m a fussy buyer and am always careful about fabrics - I’ll always crumple something up in my hand and see whether the creases fall out or not!

If it something I utterly adore I’d still buy it - but when it’s an untailored navy shirt….well, there are plenty of other ones out there!

Maireas · 02/03/2024 09:42

That's what I do, @Serenster !
I don't know how other celebrities manage, I'm sure not everyone has a dresser to hand to stop crumpling. It's amplified I think by the shape and style. Just not flattering. I liked all her other outfits at Whistler, particularly the green evening dress, but this one doesn't look good imo.

KillingMeDeftIy · 02/03/2024 09:54

Stephanie’s dress is Valentino! I would not have guessed that as it looks like something from Hobbs or LKB. MT’s top is Natan, a designer I’ve only ever seen on her, Màxima and Mathilde.

Maireas · 02/03/2024 09:56

I always think Stephanie looks like a classic Hobbs or Whistles customer! Maybe the Valentino element means that the fabric is good, or it hangs well because it's fully lined.

KillingMeDeftIy · 02/03/2024 10:02

I’ve seen people on these threads say Kate isn’t into fashion/style, which I don’t think is true, but I definitely think it’s true of Stephanie. I think as long as it’s clean and pressed she’s happy! She does look her best when she’s out with her kids - she just glows when she’s around them, and who can blame her? They’re adorable!

Maireas · 02/03/2024 10:14

They are! I think she looks great in the very casual clothes, but I agree, I don't think fashion is her thing. I think Kate is often cautious and thinks about her role, rather than going full on Max or MT.

OP posts:
KnickerlessParsons · 02/03/2024 10:32

That's not a real photo of H&M surely? It looks like four individual photos that have been stitched together.

KillingMeDeftIy · 02/03/2024 10:36

I think it’s real, it’s just been taken on a phone with a low-res camera that makes them all look slightly odd.

Eaumyword · 02/03/2024 14:47

Not keen on any of the looks.
Meghan's outfit has straightjacket vibes to me - awful! Not stylish at all, although as ever her makeup is good (but I'm too old to appreciate those heavy eyebrows.)

MotherofPearl · 02/03/2024 17:11

I always think Stephanie looks like a classic Hobbs or Whistles customer!

I fear this may be me! Though I'm not keen on Stephanie's floral dress.

I'm also not a fan of those mega brows @Eaumyword. They dominate the face too much. Meghan has a beautiful face that does not need giant brows dominating it.

iknowimcoming · 02/03/2024 18:26

Just seen Eugenie, Jack and Sarah Ferguson at the Bahrain Grand Prix - couldn't see much of their outfits but lovely to see Sarah looking so well!
