Morning! I'm starting a new thread before I go to work as it may get filled before this evening.

There was a wedding of the Spanish aristocracy yesterday - the oldest son of the Duque de Marcellano got married to another aristocrat. Here are the bride and groom. But I was more taken with the groom’s mother in her amazing peiñata, mantilla and then the amazing necklace. She looks fantastic!

The Swedish royals attend a service to mark two years of the war in Ukraine.

Not sure if we covered these ensembles earlier but Màxima has been working the winter white this week. I think she looks great and really carries off a cape. Not sure if it’s the lighting or if the shades of white in her suit don’t quite match but perhaps that’s intentional. Everything in the same shade of white might’ve been a bit too Saturday Night Fever!

Nice - I do like the second picture with the coat/cape item. Lovely. I do admire people who can wear white and keep it pristine.

I really don't like those white poloneck jumpers - Kate has a few, too - but I agree that Max carries off the cape very well. She always brings a bit of oomph to her daywear - it's never pedestrian.

MmePoppySeedDefage · 25/02/2024 11:24

Maireas have you worn much white? I'm not a tidy person, and am reasonably active but I've not had any problems with white skirts or trousers getting dirty. I do only wear them in the summer admittedly.

KillingMeDeftIy · 25/02/2024 11:28

I don’t have a problem keeping whites clean either - my child was taught from an early age that if mummy is wearing white then hands have to be clean before approaching her!! But I guess royals have it easier with staff on hand to whisk the whites away to a dry cleaner who’s nifty with stain removal.

I think it's more anxiety about it.
I rarely get clothes dirty, and really if I wear pale blue and green ok, white shouldn't be a problem. It's psychological.

The white cape is gorgeous, really elegant, she is such an attractive woman.

Tarragon123 · 25/02/2024 16:10

I think Max looks amazing in those white outfits, particularly the cape one.

Char and Albert at a charity gala. I'm not very keen on the sparkly suit, especially the trousers, but at least she looks glamorous, and has made an effort, which is a lot more than can be said for Albert. That jacket is far too small, and looks all kinds of wrong with those trousers and shoes. Felipe's tailor must come out in a cold sweat when he sees royal men wearing this sort of thing.

The woman in the red and black in the second photo appears to be leaning away from poor Albert!

Great minds! Yes - please, Albert - get yourself to Felipe's tailor.

Albert always looks like a maître d’ who lost his jacket and had to borrow one from a waiter who’s two sizes smaller than him.

Maireas · 25/02/2024 19:55

I know! Plus he wears the least convincing uniforms ever, like a costume from a provincial performance of a Gilbert and Sullivan opera.

In other Monaco royal news, I read somewhere that Charlotte C has recently split from her husband. Sad if it’s true, as they have a young child.

Maireas · 25/02/2024 20:04

That's a shame.

This made me chuckle - very apt!

Char looks great there- I love her sparkly outfit!
The pink ribbon tartan looks rather snazzy too.
