I think it's a gorgeous looking coat. I was tempted myself but the pockets turned me off - top loader rather than side loader and the coat looks really awkward if you put your hands in them. It's a minor gripe but for a me a deal breaker.
It's a gorgeous classic coat though, one of their best sellers for many years and going nowhere. The long version is nice too.

That was literally my first thought, not even based on my personal taste or bias, just a basic parallel my brain pulled within millisecond of seeing the picture and linking it to a famous character costume.

Love it. Bought similar from Reiss a few years back and have worn and worn and worn it but it still looks immaculate.

Update

The coat is really beautiful and well made, the fabric is divine and it feels very chic however...
Size 10 was not the right size - the cuffs were slightly longer and the shoulders were not perfect placed so it looked like I borrowed someone else's coat.

Also that model must be super tall because at 5'5 the coat was just on top of my knee which it was not a problem but looked very different than in the pic.

And finally the pocket would annoy me so much as I much prefer side pockets where I can properly put my hands in, so for that price, if it is not a 10/10 I can't justify I'm afraid.
