That’s awful @Trinitybean - I really hope you have contacted CS - I have previously found that a phone call expressing disappointment elicits a more satisfactory response than using chat.

PretLea · 11/01/2024 14:45

I haven’t washed it yet @MrsRadichio as I also purchased it in this sale. But I’d probably wash it at 30…

MrsRadichio · 11/01/2024 14:23

Oh not the same ones then. Good call on the top.

So I find it hard to get a good photo to really show the fit but here goes. Apologies for mess etc

I have this dress and it’s one I reach for a very lot, I bought it pre sale and still feel I get value for money, it looks lovely on you, I find it a very flattering dress

Noodle421 · 11/01/2024 15:20

@MrsRadichio i think the dress looks fabulous on you

Countmeout · 11/01/2024 15:25

I think that is lovely on you @MrsRadichio . .

Any thoughts on the live. I missed the start but have since had a quick look. I was disappointed in the colours on the cabin check dress, much duller than in the photographs , it also looked very fitted which I didn’t expect.
The twill shirt dress on the other hand was VERY bright.
I , too, wish they’d use shorter models , this live didn’t have the variety of size etc some lives do have.

I didn’t know the excessively priced jumper was made from actual wool you could buy . I am not a knitter. (Obvs) I’m sure someone could reproduce it could they not?

@Soandsoon Sorry it didn't work. That pretty much tallies with my experience of the dress. I was disappointed. I think my Toast days are coming to an end. The new fit seems to be for people with less boob than me. Every dress I have tried since they changed the fit has been tight there, while ok elsewhere. Which I really do think is a shame because I reckon most people in the 18 are going to be people with boobs, as I think more weight generally means bigger boobs...

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 15:42

I forgot to register for the Toast live event for Kindred. Is there an email link that someone can post or is that it and I have missed it?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 11/01/2024 15:44

I love that dress on you @MrsRadichio . That was one of the dresses I was really tempted by in the sale but I’m currently trying not to buy dresses as I’ve got several from previous sales that I’ve barely worn.

I foolishly checked the sale returns early this morning and the blue Paraboot Veley lace ups were back in my size. I ordered them and they’ve been despatched already. I’m almost hoping they don't fit as I’ve ended up spending a lot this sale, on the other hand I can see them being really useful.

Countmeout · 11/01/2024 15:52

I think there is a link in the original email @neveradullmoment99

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 15:53

Oh I didn't see that. It said you had to register this time.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 15:53

I will go and check. Thank you :)

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 15:55

Thanks. There is a link but sadly it takes you to the 18th January one. No worries!

TosstTastic · 11/01/2024 15:58

?my link was also for the 18th....

Snowyowl78 · 11/01/2024 16:15

@neveradullmoment99 @TosstTastic meant to tag

EDW · 11/01/2024 16:21

I have that dress and love wearing it - definitely recommend !

EDW · 11/01/2024 16:23

@MrsRadichio - I've washed mine a lot . . 30 is totally fine (better for everyone ) . colours are still great

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 16:27

@Snowyowl78 Thank you so much!

MiracleToast · 11/01/2024 16:29

Dress looks beautiful on you @MrsRadichio I vote yes!

Have just caught up on the live. Really love the theme of allotments and cabins. I have had my eye on the navy fisherman tunic and although it wasn’t that clear on the live, it’s my number one contender from this drop. I have the oat biscuit (?) fisherman tunic from a few seasons back and I wear it solidly here in Scotland. I’m even wearing it now, so I know it’ll be worth the price if it’s similar.

MiracleToast · 11/01/2024 16:30

Oh also, it made me laugh when she mentioned the big pocket in the cream skirt for secateurs!

OftenOrange · 11/01/2024 16:36

@MrsRadichio The batik dress doesn’t look remotely frumpy, it looks elegant and interesting . I don’t think you’ll ever regret buying it.

OftenOrange · 11/01/2024 16:40

What do we think of the Kindred live ?
I liked a lot of the things and love the cornflower blues with soft green.
I also warmed to the theme of Outdoor Pursuits with the Allotment strand and then the Cabin one later. Someone there certainly thinks up some interesting themes!
I loved the cream and red sweater styled with ecru Annies, great on someone youngish , not for myself .

TosstTastic · 11/01/2024 16:42

Thank you @Snowyowl78
I have the fire lit, pot of tea and settled in.

Sadly it's going to take more than a new dress shape to give me a flatter front in the new season but I love the 'twin set' look of the dress and shirt.

alliscalm · 11/01/2024 16:44

@Countmeout Far be it from me to justify Toast prices … however, my daughter has just taken up knitting. I thought about buying her a kit for a jumper in Peruvian wool for Christmas but it was about £100 and that’s before she picked up the needles! And the pattern was very basic and rather chunky. I bought the graphic yoke Donegal before Christmas and have never loved a jumper so much even though it’s what I would normally pay for a coat. £395 is a Rubicon I would not cross no matter how lovely the jumper but I can see how they got there.

whinsome · 11/01/2024 17:04

Ah, forgot about the Live. Will have a watch now if I can find it.

Also I rang CS this morning about my XXX.99 refund as I hadn't had a reply to my email. The lady was lovely, said there'd been a few and they were looking into it. The amount had already been adjusted when checked. Got an email a few hours later confirming the change.

I could never justify £395 for a jumper but it does look very beautiful!

Liking the palette of the new collection but the only thing that I REALLY covet is the https://www.toa.st/collections/womens-new-collection/products/v-neck-cotton-linen-twill-jumpsuit-slate but I am a similar shape to @Soandsoon from the sounds of things so unlikely to work any better than the dress on her ... but maybe I'll try it one of these days.
