@Countmeout 😂

OftenOrange · 10/01/2024 21:06

@Countmeout Based on your description I think that the jumper is too cheap 😂
As for that monstrous pairing of a line frock over big pants …I have no words !
There’s going to be plenty I’ll love, I’m looking forward to seeing the live.

No1Mousie · 10/01/2024 21:58

@Countmeout 🤣 do hope it comes in a range of colours so I can have at least two?

D20 · 10/01/2024 22:11

TerrierOrTerror · 10/01/2024 12:43

Yes, me. It is a gorgeous dress, lovely soft fabric, flowy etc. I bought a Small and an a size 10 with 30F chest size. However I have had two and both developed the same fault with the arm coming away from the bodice (on one of them it was both sides). This happened on the first wear each time.

Cheers. Saved me some money.

MiracleToast · 10/01/2024 22:55

Ooh, I like the blue dress shown with the cabin scarf too, @Theteapotsbrokenspout

Dee1224 · 10/01/2024 23:08

😂😂😂@Countmeout !

Sadly not @No1Mousie .
The rare Andalusian butterflies whose wings are used in the dye for this garment feed mainly on green organic olives. This unfortunately means that shades of green are the only shades possible.

Does anyone know why there are two Lydia black jumpsuits on the site one in the sale and one not?! Very strange. Naturally the sale one is OOS!

I think its to.do with one being old stock and different sizing ( old sizing)

peerie · 11/01/2024 08:40

yep, old sizing, I did a live chat before ordering, apparently identical otherwise

neveradullmoment99 · 11/01/2024 08:47

Toast is being very very slow. I ordered the donegal coatigan on the 6th Jan. Its still not arrived!

Trinitybean · 11/01/2024 10:56

@Dee1224 still haven't been refunded for the item I told them they had missed off the refund.

ScottishMouse · 11/01/2024 12:48

Brought three of my orders back to store this morning. Got refund emails for two but not the third. Went into my account online to check what it says against that order and it doesn’t appear in my order list. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Sigh. I thought returning to store would be easier, but it looks like I might need to go back or call them and see what is going on.

So it will be 600 Euro - wow! But it's a nice sweater.

It's weird, apparently it is only possible to see the latest "New in" on the UK part of the website.

...I'm in love with the cabin check dress and scarf!

Alpacasoft · 11/01/2024 13:41

Haha the description of the jumper made me laugh particularly the pygmy 🦏 so glad it was not harmed during the making of the garment 😂
I'm going to confess I'm not overly fussed about Manos yarn even at the price per skein and knitting it myself.
Also "Hand loomed" .
Usually refers to woven fabric
Do they mean hand spun or hand knitted?
Lovely new things !

MrsRadichio · 11/01/2024 14:17

Like it @Countmeout you should get Toast to employ your for their descriptions 😂

It feels like a bit of a lacklustre sale this one....I have not been very successful - Astrid dress was nice but a bit tight in my Toast size 12, the neat denim dress I just found a bit meh on me (tried a 14 so IRL sizing I would say), also the twisted seam trousers also meh (sensing a theme here?!)

The only item I am wavering on is the batik dress so wanted some advice. May post a photo but in the meantime I love the print but I wonder if the style is a bit frumpy on me...I do find it very comfy though. Also it is still eye wateringly expensive but I cannot see anything similar in terms of print elsewhere. If you have it / have tried it what do you think of it?

Not good to hear about all these refund issues and how odd about the 1p discrepancies...

@ScottishMouse the frill collar minus frill looks cute on you, have you decided to keep? I think I have the cords you are wearing in the photo, some of my faves.

ScottishMouse · 11/01/2024 14:21

I have decided to keep it @MrsRadichio. Whipped the collar off last night, just need to get some thread in the right colour to the seam up.
The trousers I’m wearing are indigo Alix. My all time faves.

Soandsoon · 11/01/2024 14:22

And it really didn’t work. I have a smallish waist compared to hips and boobs and it sat in completely the wrong place. Also just as a general moan up. Why don’t they ever use bigger models ? It’s so demoralising. Obvs I love their clothes but am fed up that I never see much over a size 10 and age 27 on their marketing.

MrsRadichio · 11/01/2024 14:23

Oh not the same ones then. Good call on the top.

So I find it hard to get a good photo to really show the fit but here goes. Apologies for mess etc

I think the batik looks really fantastic on you @MrsRadichio. I have it and it’s a beautiful dress.

ScottishMouse · 11/01/2024 14:32

I think that looks really lovely on you @MrsRadichio. Will your lifestyle lend itself to getting plenty of wear out of it? If so, I would keep it.

MrsRadichio · 11/01/2024 14:35

Thanks. yes I think I would wear it as I wear dresses a lot and I think I could wear it casually. @PretLea have you washed yours yet, I did see it says 40 wash but a bit nervous of the print / colours running

Dee1224 · 11/01/2024 14:40

I like it @MrsRadichio (also loving your wooden floor!)
