I got the repurposed yarn hat today or whatever they’re calling it, but it doesn’t suit me really. It’s got lovely colours near the top like pinks and blues but I can’t see them in the mirror, just the creamy white bit and that does nothing for my colouring or hair so will return! Shame. I also snuck in another Breton because it’s so perfect, so will keep that!

Just booked a return for the walnut trousers which aren't very nice and also are almost identical to others I already have. Still smarting over the russet forward seam ones - grrr

Has anyone tried/bought the cabin check dress?
Im debating with myself but am on edge in case they reduce it in the next sale?

I don’t think that dress would be reduced until after the summer @Nanasueathome . It’s just been released in the new drop. I thought the colours were disappointing in the live. It looks more vivid on the website.

@Nanasueathome I have it. I was disappointed with the colours in the live compared to the website. And my friend took pictures in store for me as I am not close to one. Anyway, I ordered it and I surprised myself by keeping it. IRL it’s more Olive Green/Airforce Blue with pops of minty green.

Has anyone got the crinkle twill culottes (or something else in the same fabric - cupro viscose mix)? I’m interested in them for an event but would like to be able to wear them more casually afterwards. But the fabric care put me off. Have you ever washed this fabric in a machine and how did it fare? Does it stain really easily (I’m thinking it’s the kid of fabric that shows grease/oil stains easily)?
Also any comment on the fit and style would be appreciated too. Thanks.

Also wanted to report on the new tie neck poplin shirt. I ordered the ecru in S/M. It says it is oversized, but oh my, it is enormous. Like two sizes two big at least. The colour does absolutely nothing for me, if it was white I would reorder in the smallest size but not in ecru. It is really beautiful though.

I’ve just ordered the skirt with the knitted vest, I’m considering the dress also, I do like the check skirts …

In the spirit of sharing new acquisitions, I also got the ‘secateur’ skirt, the olive patch pocket tee and the Fracap ankle shoes (SO comfy!). Love all 3.

@Firesideknitting @Qweesh Good to hear what you’ve chosen from Garden collection . I really like the Cabin check fabric , it will come into its own in Spring Summer .
I don’t buy much from early Spring but love hearing about and seeing in action the pieces.

After a rather greedy sale I’m not sure whether to keep the wideleg cotton linen trousers, they were still expensive at sale price .
I don’t know if I like them on me, or whether I’ve been swayed by the general love and have FOMO! They give me a pair of hips I don’t possess which is a bit disconcerting but gives a more feminine silhouette.
Also the ones I got have a wonky pleat at the front; I doubt that I’d wear them with a tucked in top as Im short waisted , so maybe I’m being too picky.
I may see if Im offered a discount as there aren’t any more available .

@OftenOrange - that is wonky isn't it! I also ordered them on the strength that they'd looked so amazing on everyone else on this thread, but sent them back as they weren't cropped enough for me (5'4) and also a little bit too wide. Might be worth calling to ask about returns? They were still, as you say, pretty expensive!

My bandana is supposed to arrive tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that!

@faustina - let us know how you get on with the bandana. It's one of the very few things from the new drop I'm interested in.

I’ve made my first reworn order - a viscose wool dress with a jacquard print - hasn’t arrived yet but think it must be from a long time ago.

also tried the garment dyed jeans with the big pockets - these fit quite small if you don’t have much of a waist. I was hoping they’d look quirky on me as I thought they did on the live model but they looked a bit meh. Returned

I am debating whether to keep my sale purchase of floral pjs - pleasantly surprised to find that they fitted in the M and also that DH likes them. I seem to have kept the floral nightie by accident, and I do like wearing Toast pj bottoms under their nighties, so it looks like my sale purchases have got quite expensive 🙀

I tried the oar check in S as no M available- I liked it, but of course it was far too small on the bust, although perfect on my shoulders and waist. If it reappears in a future sale in M I will try again. By contrast, the very similar wool/cotton check dress in M was huge and looked awful.

Just had a look through new arrivals and added those lovely striped tees to my wish list in anticipation of a future sale. (It will be a cold day in hell before I drop £95 on a tee shirt!)
