@Dee1224 - The others are right you know, red is definitely having a thing at the moment. If you can bear it, why not post a pic on here? I bet it looks better than you think

Dee1224 · 22/01/2024 16:31

Thanks @faustina - next time it’s cold, I will give it a go. I only bought it as it was so cold on Saturday and that influenced me!

faustina · 22/01/2024 18:29

@Snowyowl78 it does look massive, but what a beautiful colour!

MiracleToast · 22/01/2024 19:19

I love that @Snowyowl78 firm contender. What a beautiful blue

MiracleToast · 22/01/2024 19:21

Just saw it comes in that gorgeous duck egg ‘mist blue’ that I missed out on in the sale—the boat neck dress. Really happy to see these, I know they’ll get a lot of wear in summer. Onto the list!

SaffyRosie · 22/01/2024 19:43

Mist blue looks green to me. Is it?

I wish Toast would give the pantone number for the colours of their garments.

Teamustbefromateapot · 22/01/2024 20:59

This is helpful, thanks!

MiracleToast · 22/01/2024 21:25

@SaffyRosie yes, looks pale green to me too, similar to this I thought?

The ‘blue’ looks really green to me!

I dipped back into the sale for a Breton. A fee restocks today

JustforToast · 23/01/2024 09:10

Thanks for all the feedback on the cotton velvet skirt. I decided that it was unlikely to suit my shape. I ended up returning everything I bought in the sale but instead bought 3 items from new stock. No doubt all part of the plan for Toast!

faustina · 23/01/2024 12:12

one last dip into the sale for me with the cotton twill workwear trousers in walnut and the forward seam in russet (at least I hope so - they could see some in the warehouse and will email me to buy)

I think the green/blue is supposed to be a sort of duck egg blue which also always looks pretty green to me!

I wonder if there will be something else in that beautiful bilberry colour which isn't quite as huge looking as the dress?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 23/01/2024 12:26

Finally the sale is over. Looking forward to even more new pieces now.

Dee1224 · 23/01/2024 13:10

Hi,

I have decided to keep the hat - thanks for the kind feedback, guys!

Quite a lot of restocking happened very early morning - I put some things in a basket when I woke up at some awful hour, (about 4.30am!) then told myself not to be ridiculous and fell back asleep!

Of course, the things in my basket had sold out again once I resurfaced. Mid-morning, I ordered the two b/w check dresses to try and the blue floral pjs, (as I seem to have kept the nightie by accident and I like wearing Toast pj trousers under their nighties.)

I am sure that it will all be too small😿

Very nearly bought another two baubles at 4.30am - fortunately I saw sense!

Noeggsontoast · 23/01/2024 13:12

@faustina I have those forward seam trousers in russet. Wear them heaps. Comfy nice fit and go with so much.

I'm glad the sale is over too. I'd done with the sale a couple of weeks ago. I am a bit perturbed at how big some things are looking on the models though.

TosstTastic · 23/01/2024 13:31

I'm glad the sale is over! Just waiting for a last minute dress, can't but help feel there's a reason lots of Bryn's in the sale but going to scratch that itch.

Toast by post is all very well but as always, a real life shop allows you to reject things on feel, you would have ordered and try something that swamped the model but is great on a bigger figure.

Alpacasoft · 23/01/2024 13:50

Also glad the sale is over but a bit horrified by the hospital gown like new dresses.
I'm sorry but they look ridiculous and if they look like that on a beautiful model they are unlikely to do much for me.

Almost pay day hallelujah
I think I'm going to be sensible 🙄and stick to my list.
Striped jersey organic shirt, full length Annie's or the flat front denim trousers, green crinkle v neck .
Really hoping those pumps are in the Thursday drop

Dee1224 · 23/01/2024 13:54

I like the Bryn dresses @TosstTastic but I can’t get on with viscose 😿I always shrink it.

JustforToast · 23/01/2024 13:56

Laughing at the hospital gown dresses- and the Henry viii raglan sleeves! Spot on in both cases.

Mind you, I know I’d wear that bilberry hospital gown dress to death. Pure comfort!

faustina · 23/01/2024 14:34

@Noeggsontoast - thank you for letting me know. I'm just sending the khaki pair back - they are very very comfortable but the colour just isn't doing it for me. I love that they have a bit of stretch - makes a huge difference!

The only thing on my Wishlist for the new season so far is the elongated bandana - I have sold two of my less worn (and smaller) Toast bandanas in preparation and my finger is poised on the buy button!

Alpacasoft · 23/01/2024 14:51

Dee1224 · 23/01/2024 13:54

I like the Bryn dresses @TosstTastic but I can’t get on with viscose 😿I always shrink it.

I think it reverts to size with a gentle cool iron?

Dee1224 · 23/01/2024 14:56

I believe so @Alpacasoft in the case of Bryn, according to a PP.

However, all my - non-toast - viscose dresses, including some very lovely and over-sized ones, have shrunk horribly upwards as well as widthwards. If Bryn was further reduced at some point in the future I might risk it…

I got the forward seam trousers in khaki in the sale - unfortunately the russet had sold out, so I couldn't get them too. I'm wearing the khaki ones today together with the checked crinkled shirt and a brown neat cardi.

I love the forward seam trousers and their soft fabric. I got the blue/slate and the thorn ones in an earlier sale, and have ordered the thorn once more.

faustina · 23/01/2024 15:01

@BettinaInDenmark - they are very soft aren't they - and a nice weight for this time of year. They restocked the russet colour in most sizes today, but not mine, so I went on the chat and she is going to get me some (or so she said - I haven't heard back yet)
