Thanks for the info @ScottishMouse and @Theteapotsbrokenspout

whinsome · 19/01/2024 18:29

I had a refund email today from something posted Saturday afternoon.

Also forgot about the Live.

I'm at zero from the sale ... looking forward to seeing the new drop though. Maybe there will be something there that will tempt me, else I might be close to losing Kindred! 😱

Actually, any sock recommendations? There's always room for a cosy pair of socks!

OftenOrange · 19/01/2024 20:39

@Stoic123 Also very happy with that Citrus fluid dress, bought in previous sale. I have that and the 2 fabric tie neck Bryn. , unworn as yet . No regrets I adore them both and so I’ll probably get shot of 2 Toast dresses that don’t give me that love. I don’t wear dresses often and need to keep numbers few.
@ScottishMouse That dark cord top is very long , I only wear it in the evening as I need to trowel on the lipstick and wear silver earrings otherwise I look like a ghost !

faustina · 19/01/2024 20:43

I'm seeing that elongated bandanna all over instagram - as well as on the live yesterday and I really like it! I don't think I've seen anything similar anywhere else - might buy it when I feel a bit more spring-like

AFingerofFudge · 19/01/2024 22:01

@faustina could you please point me to the bandana on Instagram, I love looking at how things are styled!

faustina · 20/01/2024 06:05

@AFingerofFudge - one account was definitely the Bath Toast. If I spot any others later on I'll let you know

Countmeout · 20/01/2024 06:36

I liked the way it was styled on the video with the jacket worn as a top @faustina @AFingerofFudge . It made me look at it twice. I agree I can’t see anything quite like it elsewhere at the mo . Would like it a little less spendy.

faustina · 20/01/2024 07:13

@Countmeout - yes I liked it on the live too. It's unusual in a quiet way

ScottishMouse · 20/01/2024 11:59

I just returned the alpaca buttoned tank to store. It went with so little in my wardrobe, which surprised me, and was just not that flattering. I think I am keeping the long cord shirt. It also doesn’t go with that much but I think it could do, and was a good price.
@Snowyowl78 , just to let you know I tried on the green crinkle vneck dress. I found the M to be masses smaller than the M I have in the jersey version, it was so tight. But I tried the L and it was huge. So that has been crossed off my list.
I also tried the Freya version which has the check fabric on the outside instead of inside. I love everything about it apart from the sleeves. I remember this from trying last season’s version. The sleeves become wider as they go down so the turn ups don’t stay up, but when turned down, the sleeve almost has a bell kind of shape which I really do not like. So that’s also off my list.
All there is on my list for the latest drop now is the new moon flower trainers, they don’t have them in store yet. But they will probably be a fail as I have awkward feet.
The new poplin tie neck shirt is lovely but neither of the colours are for me. I wish it was white rather than that ecru type colour which is terrible for my skin tone.

Snowyowl78 · 20/01/2024 12:06

@ScottishMouse oh no really! I’m finding the M tight and I have the the L coming on Monday. I’ll be sad if the L is too big!

JustforToast · 20/01/2024 12:07

Can’t seem to stop myself from venturing back in to the sale. I’m now considering the cotton velvet skirt. Does anyone have it and is the elasticated waist bunchy or flattering?

ScottishMouse · 20/01/2024 12:08

@Snowyowl78 there seemed a huge difference between the two sizes to me. Maybe there will be some variation and your L will be ok. Fingers crossed.

Snowyowl78 · 20/01/2024 12:39

@ScottishMouse i just looked at the size chart and they seem to be the same! They aren’t though. I have an old black jersey one and I also embarrassingly bought one as spare because it’s my fave, so I’m going to see if there’s been any shrinkage in the old one, which suggests the green one might shrink…

I think it's flattering. Almost everything makes my big belly look bigger, but this one doesn't. I have the oil coloured one from last winter, and it makes me look fatter than I actually am, but I got the recent night coloured one in a smaller size, and I love it.
Edited to correct typho

Snowyowl78 · 20/01/2024 12:40

As an aside I also tried the new striped tee in the navy and beige (the one with red and yellow in the other colour way, and the difference in size between the M and L was negligible at best!

It looked AWFUL on me! So bunch.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/01/2024 12:50

Bunchy

JustforToast · 20/01/2024 13:39

😁Thanks @BettinaInDenmark and @neveradullmoment99

i make that a tied vote. Anyone to break the deadlock?

TerrierOrTerror · 20/01/2024 14:05

@Snowyowl78 @ScottishMouse what is your usual Toast size? I am really in love with the green crinkle dress but unsure on size to order.

ScottishMouse · 20/01/2024 14:16

@TerrierOrTerror i am a size 12 (well, on top, more like a 10 on my bottom half). I used to buy size 10/small in Toast but in new sizing I am finding I need 12/medium.

ScottishMouse · 20/01/2024 14:16

@Snowyowl78 well at least Toast are staying consistent with their sizing inconsistencies!

Snowyowl78 · 20/01/2024 14:18

@TerrierOrTerror i am a real life 14 and usuall by 12 or Medium in toast. Although lately I’ve been buying a large in a top. I have the black jersey v neck in a medium and have also tried the new blue one in a navy
@JustforToast i tried the velvet skirt and it looked thick and frumpy on me.

Countmeout · 20/01/2024 14:39

@JustforToast I have the velvet skirt. I like it. I don’t feel it’s bunchy. There is less fabric at the front than the back.

OP posts:
Stoic123 · 20/01/2024 14:41

@JustforToast - still tied😂.

Can't help I'm afraid.

NoCureForLove · 20/01/2024 15:32

That velvet skirt v uBearnflattering on me but if you have a neat waist I think it would be more flattering. Lively fabric but yes, v bunchy waist made me look a bit of a weeble
