@Snowyowl78 - oooh! Thank you! Unfortunately only in a medium though.

RockaLock · 18/01/2024 20:56

Is anyone else unable to log into their toast account this evening?

Every time I try, it just sort of refreshes the login page instead of logging me in!

RockaLock · 18/01/2024 20:57

Oh, ignore me, I've just deleted all my toast cookies and I'm back in. Phew!

Dee1224 · 18/01/2024 21:38

@faustina - Oshkosh baby dungarees- that takes me back - I am currently looking at a pic on the wall of youngest DS wearing his and looking adorable - I miss those days so much 😿

faustina · 18/01/2024 21:48

@Dee1224 - Oshkosh were just so perfect weren't they? And indestructible too - though DS1 and 2 both tried their hardest to test that theory! Very photogenic as well

Dee1224 · 18/01/2024 21:49

Indeed @faustina - lovely little clothes!

Dee1224 · 18/01/2024 21:50

In other news: I have gone a whole 24 hours without buying a bauble…

mizu · 19/01/2024 09:00

@Dee1224 😁

Countmeout · 19/01/2024 09:08

Well done @Dee1224 .

My last (?) sale order just arrived - well, part of it, I am waiting for a quilt which was sent separately and seems to be stuck at my local sorting office.
The long cord shirt with the tie neck is quite big (but not too big) in a 10, definitely old sizing. It is very long on me, especially at the back, but I like it. I’m just not sure what to wear it with….those who have it (sorry, I can’t remember who), how tall are you and what do you wear it with?
The alpaca tank is lovely and the fit is better in L than the M I tried earlier in the season. It is a wee bit itchy at the neck though and because it’s thick and short I think it may emphasis my stomach. I would keep it if it was cheaper, but at £120 it is still pretty spendy. I need to try it again with other options.

Stoic123 · 19/01/2024 14:35

@Dee1224 - congratulations!

@ScottishMouse - I have that shirt in slate and wear it with jeans. I'm 5'7". I wear it out for dinner or drinks in autumn/winter- preferably to a dimly lit/candlelit pubs or bars. Shades of Gothic Romance (sorry for being so pretentious 😬)

Stoic123 · 19/01/2024 14:49

Last sale parcel arrived - the Floral Print Fluid Dress in Citrus Green which I stalked for returns. I can't believe I sat on this for so long and nearly missed it. It's gorgeous.

The coral/orange bauble is lovely too @Dee1224.

Sale is over for me now. I think I've seen everything and there's nothing else I'd now order even if my size came into stock.

Final sales tally: Drawstring Dress, Patchwork Jacket, Citrus Dress, Shetland 70s Jumper and 2 pairs of socks. Also ordered multiple bits from home - main damage being the Christmas whatnots.

ScottishMouse · 19/01/2024 15:03

Thanks @Stoic123 , it looks good with my indigo Alix and with a pair of old gingham culottes, but that’s about it in my wardrobe. And I am only 5’2”, so I’ll bet it looks a whole lot better on you at 5’7”.

Dee1224 · 19/01/2024 15:31

@ScottishMouse - I wore my cord shirt today open over my new dungarees and it looked nice. I also wear it fastened over leggings. I am 5’4” and it’s long on me, but I like it. I regretted sending it back in the summer 22 sale. I just hope the sleeves don’t shrink when I wash it, as they are just about the right length now, (and I loathe ‘bracelet’ length sleeves!)

I like that coral bauble @Stoic123 !

Notification has appeared just now on the Toast site that the sale is ending 23/1, (no doubt at 12 noon😹 for extra drama!) Either the CS person on chat last week got it wrong when he told me it was finishing on 25/1, or they have decided to end it early.

Dee1224 · 19/01/2024 15:35

I have two ‘final’ orders arriving tomorrow- they’ve been quite slow:

Wool tam in grey
Black voile dress/nightie that has awful reviews
Another bauble, (of course)

Then a 4am purchase of the blue/white striped shirt that I have been eyeing up for the last few sales.

I must chase up my refunds for the stuff I returned last week.

ScottishMouse · 19/01/2024 15:55

Over dungarees sounds great @Dee1224. I have short arms so love that Toast do so many bracelet length sleeves!
I tried that black voile dress. If the fabric had been thicker I would have bought it for summer, but it is really really thin and would only work as a beach cover-up imo. And I hate the beach, so it would have been useless for me.

Dee1224 · 19/01/2024 16:04

Thanks for the info @ScottishMouse - my expectations are low re: black dress thing, but somehow it made its way into my basket!

Snowyowl78 · 19/01/2024 16:05

Watch out for your refunds because toast told me today that there has been a systems issue with some of their refunds that they are investigating.

ScottishMouse · 19/01/2024 16:06

Always worth a try @Dee1224

Dee1224 · 19/01/2024 16:08

Thanks @Snowyowl78 - are they not processing them properly or at all? They owe me quite a lot of money atm!

Snowyowl78 · 19/01/2024 16:29

@Dee1224 they said issues with ‘some refunds’ that they are investigating

Dee1224 · 19/01/2024 16:57

Thanks @Snowyowl78 - I will contact tomorrow and also check my cc

ScottishMouse · 19/01/2024 16:58

@Snowyowl78 and @Dee1224 I had a refund this morning for something I posted back on Wednesday afternoon, so it doesn’t seem to be a universal issue. Fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 19/01/2024 17:39

@Dee1224 @Snowyowl78 I received a refund this morning for a parcel posted back Monday, quite slow compared to normal, but at least it has gone through.

I forgot all about the live this week, I must go back and catch up.
