@ScottishMouse i had it when it first came out but returned in the end because the colour probably wouldn’t have gone with enough and I don’t think I’d have got enough wear out of it. It was nice though.

My refund has been processed - including an additional penny...

OftenOrange · 16/01/2024 16:40

@Countmeout I found the Waxed Anorak in Cumin at Shoreditch , it seems to come up quite large which was confirmed by the sales assistant.
The colour is not dark , more of a mustard and quite vibrant .
They didn’t have the B de C Bag , nor does my other local, I’ll keep an eye out if I’m near other stores

Thank you @OftenOrange . I thought from the measurements it was quite big fitting.
Thanks for looking for the bag too. I’ll maybe ask chat to check the measurements.

My refund for the Peacoat posted on Saturday was promptly refunded today.
The check trousers from the new drop are not for me. They are wider than I like and I would have liked them to be more Yeabridge green than Calke.
It will e interesting to see how they do that refund as it was part gift card.

Returns speeding up again - returned on Sunday (WHS Smith counter) and correct refund notification already.

Not spotted anything in the mini restock.

@ScottishMouse - I have the mohair (Earth Gold version). I bought it just before Christmas when it kept appearing in all the Toast videos then saw it in real life and bought it. Didn't want to miss out - the colours are so gorgeous. I haven't worn it a lot but prefer it with a skirt and without a coat so likely to wear more in early Spring and Autumn

It appeared on the Guardian/Observer site at the weekend.

Holding pattern: Fair Isle woollies for instant hygge

Fair Isle knits conjure images of open fires in chalets perched among snowy mountains. They’re the clothing equivalent of a hot water bottle

I may have bought another bauble…

I may have bought another bauble…

😂

Dee1224 · 16/01/2024 18:46

@Stoic123 I love that jumper! I tried it on in store, but I wanted it to be a bit longer 😿

ScottishMouse · 16/01/2024 18:53

That’s the colour I ordered @Stoic123 . Part of me hopes I hate it because it is so spendy. But I know that if it is great it will get an awful lot of wear. I like a slightly swingy shorter sweater best, and that’s what it looks like.

MiracleToast · 16/01/2024 19:24

@Dee1224 😂

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 16/01/2024 20:13

@Dee1224 Only one? Never mind you can buy another one tomorrow 😂.

faustina · 16/01/2024 20:28

@Dee1224 - I think you should get it done properly and just buy ALL the baubles! 😂

Stoic123 · 16/01/2024 20:41

I am already looking forward to December's sale when there will be a fresh batch for @Dee1224

Dee1224 · 16/01/2024 20:44

😹😹😹I really need help - no more baubles for me!

PretLea · 16/01/2024 20:56

I’m hoping some on here with more extensive knitwear (and possibly knitting) knowledge could weigh in: I’m really interested in the fisherman rib tunic jumper in the new drop, but have heard that garments with this stitch have the tendency to stretch and grow considerably. Does this possibly ring true? The arms on this jumper, for example, seem long already and if they got any longer naturally, I’d probably find it unwearable. Just trying to avoid an expensive mistake.

😂

Noodle421 · 16/01/2024 21:54

Surely you are all baubled out now@Dee1224 or is that not possible ??

Noodle421 · 16/01/2024 21:55

I think baubles tagged on to knitwear and hemlines is a new trend for 2024. You are ahead of the game @Dee1224

Noodle421 · 16/01/2024 21:57

Baubles are a great and relatively inexpensive way to scratch that itch, good on you @Dee1224

Dee1224 · 16/01/2024 22:05

Thanks @Noodle421 ! It did occur to me that the amount I have spent on baubles could have been put towards something else, but I am enjoying them on my windowsill!

Dee1224 · 16/01/2024 22:06

@PretLea - I have a burgundy fisherman type jumper from the Toast pop up and I swear it grows every time I look at it. I do love it, though!

Noodle421 · 16/01/2024 22:42

Enjoy your baubles @Dee1224 . I’m having fun enjoying small pleasures - my new beeswax candles are a revelation ( I have asthma, so can’t have anything fragrant and have avoided candles for that reason), a good distraction from all the worries of the world X

Dee1224 · 16/01/2024 22:57

I agree @Noodle421 - I get so much pleasure from looking at pretty things, (they don’t even have to all be mine!) or from using my sleep oil or a nice hand cream, stuff like that, which wouldn’t have meant much to me a few years ago!

I have just got quite teary-eyed over the beauty of the new toilets in Tokyo, (partly because I can’t go abroad atm). You have to admire a culture that creates so much beauty out of the unlikely.

Is anyone going to a Circle event this weekend? I have one of two items I could part with under the right circumstances so might make the trek. I have only been to one before, and it was good, but I know that’s not always the case.
