I'm fed up of wearing a dressing gown , I don't want to spoil my day clothes and I don't want to wear old clothes

What should I buy that isn't depressing and unglamorous but taht I don't want to keep for outside wear?

You use bleach?

You will rot in hell.

BoysOnToast · 14/03/2008 17:43

why, is it especially corrosive bleach then? [innocent]

Anna8888 · 14/03/2008 17:48

Yes I take loads of exercise (mostly walking - dancing or swimming when the occasion arises) - but not in a gym - cannot abid the places .

Anna - as you are in France I think you should wear one of those pinny things that femme de menages wear

I wear nothing personally ...

Anna8888 · 14/03/2008 17:55

spicemonster - but don't you get product on your skin?

Had terrible battle with nasty dry skin patches on my hand last year due to cleaning products... and my aunt who has had breast cancer got told by the nurses that women getting cleaning products on their skin was one of the reasons they got cancer

White company do some lovely "I've just woken up/slouching around at home/take me now while I scrub the floor, window-cleaner" wear.

Anna8888 · 14/03/2008 18:00

My mother gets White Company catalogues - I'll have a browse when I have lots of time at her house next weekend. Thanks

Do you mean like this spicemonster?

sparkybabe · 14/03/2008 18:09

My MIL bought me a lovely nylon shocking pink housecoat one year for christmas. It was sooo lovely even the charity shops fell over themselves.

spicemonster · 14/03/2008 18:30

Yes, just like that turkeylurkey.

Anna I don't get product on my skin, partly because I wear gloves and partly because I'm a lentil-weaving hippy and don't use much horrible stuff. Vinegar doesn't do much damage ...
