I don't know. I think the skirt is a smidge too long. Otherwise perfect

MotherofPearl · 17/01/2024 20:46

On the topic of luxury hospital/nighwear, I hope the PoW has a cashmere Shibumi dressing gown.

I desperately covet them.

RomainesToBeSeen · 17/01/2024 20:50

Those Olivia Avon Halle pyjamas are fabulous but I cannot imagine a world where I could justify £500 on some jammies. When I win the lottery I'm having the green silk velvet ones.

Eaumyword · 17/01/2024 22:44

Love Sophie's sparkly dress and I also covet one of those cashmere dressing gowns!
Will have to continue to make do with an un-chic but warm blanket hoodie!

Those Shibumi dressing gowns are absolutely gorgeous!

paradyning · 18/01/2024 09:48

Oo those are nice too! And I my a fifth of the price of the OvH ones.

I think one of those cashmere wraps would look amazing with my Madeleine modern fringe tiara

Fourecks · 18/01/2024 11:02

Most women I know who go into hospital wear long cotton pants with a cotton tank top. I think that would be comfier but admittedly I don't own a ridiculously expensive pair of decadent silk pyjamas!

I've returned to MN after a long self imposed exile. I was trying out a few other sites, but there just wasn't the traffic to sustain that much chat. So I'm back!

Hope Kate is doing well after her op, and Charles too with his upcoming procedure.

Here are a couple of pictures of Max at some Dutch New Year receptions. The 1st one she looks really disheveled! Too much bulk and layers, and her hair is all over the place - maybe it was windy Sad . The 2nd reception she looks a lot more put together. I know it must be difficult always having to be well turned out, but if I had been invited to meet the royal family, particularly Max, at a reception I would be so excited, and disappointed if they looked like it wasn't important to them and they hadn't made an effort.

@QueryA - You're not QueenoftheAndals are you ?
She was, I think, the instigator of these threads ( I stand to be corrected on that ) but left as she felt she was spending too much time on Mumsnet.

I hope Kate is sitting up in bed recuperating and having a nosy on Mumsnet.

I think it was Bally cold windy and miserable. I've got ready at home, hair perfect. By the time I've gone from car to front porch I'm positively witchy 😂😂

DuchessOfPort · 18/01/2024 13:05

I’m pleased to see Wax also looks a bit dishevelled. Though at my smartest I definitely look scruffier than Max’s worst.

I like her camel cape.

eggandonion · 18/01/2024 15:13

@LadyEloise1 thanks for asking that question because I was wondering.
I hope kate has old jammies for hospital and lots of new loungewear to look forward to at home.
I hope the king has nice jammies too. I m sure his valet will sort those out.

chesterelly1 · 18/01/2024 16:12

Wax looks a bit windswept in that first picture so I think we can definitely put any dishevelment down to weather. I'm sure there's a wee room laid aside for tweaking ever back into place. In the second picture He looks ready to put out his hand for a tip for carrying the bags.
I love the shibumi dressing gowns. If someone brought me one of those whilst I was in hospital I'd be fighting my way out of bed to waft around in it.

Hope so! I was thinking of QofA just last night
Welcome back if so!

paradyning · 18/01/2024 18:21

And welcome back if not 😂

paradyning · 18/01/2024 18:22

Max looks lovely there. I think she really
Suits a 70s vibe with the boots and camel coats

StartupRepair · 18/01/2024 19:45

I think it is the dressing gown like tie around the first camel coat that makes her look scruffy, as well as the wind.

justasking111 · 18/01/2024 20:20

I don't like dressing gown ties ever on anyone.

QueryA · 18/01/2024 21:16

not QueenoftheAndals I’m afraid. Just a old time lurker, occasional poster 😀

Papergirl1968 · 18/01/2024 21:21

Sophie, Max, and Delphine. There is some lovely footage of Sophie dancing with an elderly lady. I’ll try to post a link.

Papergirl1968 · 18/01/2024 21:54

Apologies, I don’t think the lady she’s dancing with is elderly. It was a Mencap event where Sophie was standing in for Charles.

Maireas · 18/01/2024 22:20

Nice photo round up, @Papergirl1968 - lovely pictures of Sophie.
It'll be the Edinburgh's Silver Wedding this year.
