Not keen on Zara's floral dress. Awful colours and it's one of those high necks that does nothing for her.

That Fendi collection is great although I'm not sure DH is quite ready for some of it. Nor, to be honest, is Princess Anne! 😂

She is choosing to stay. As mother of the next king she would be well looked after regardless of a divorce. I think she is staying to become Queen and they will find a way to muddle along in their large palaces.

BBC just showed Margarethe welling up as Fred prepared to continue the Privy Council meeting without her. Poor lady.

I agree. I hate that celebrity/royal women just accept that their men will be unfaithful. DH would be out on his ear!
The captain of our PL football team.has been playing away for the second time in a year and everyone feels really sorry for him because his wife gave him a bollocking on SM, but she did blooming leave/throw him out (see also Coleen Rooney and many others)

I think I feel for Mary irrespective of whether she stays or not.

At the end of the day, if the stories are true, then her husband has cheated on her.

And whether they are true or not, she has had her personal life picked apart in the tabloids and gossiped over.

Which can't be nice, whether you are royal or not.

But anyway, this is a Royal Style thread, not a Royal Gossip thread, and with that in mind I am looking forward to seeing what Mary wears on the balcony!

I have seen a video of bits the Brunei wedding, and the bride looks stunning. Her skin is flawless, and her dress is beautiful.

Here's a video of the abdication signing. Fred didn't look happy and barely watched her. She then signaled for him to sit at the head of the table. He bowed to her and took his place. Then she said something and just as she left her face began to crumple. Must be hard for her to give up her position even if she knows it's the right thing to do.

Mary appears to be in white with her hair up. Apparently her outfit was sewn by the same seamstress as her wedding dress but was designed by a different designer.

Apparently, Margrethe's last words in the Council meeting were "God Save the King" 😢 Hope she has a massive 🍷when she gets home!

She's been an absolute trooper. Hopefully like our queen mother she gets some down time now with family and friends

Apparently the crowd were calling for Fred and Mary to kiss as if it was a Royal wedding (well she was wearing white). It didn't look like she wanted to although she eventually did.
