Did someone get a deal on scarves? As I have spotted that Anne, Tim, Louise and I think Earl Snowden are all wearing the same on the walk to church at Sandringham.

mrsmingleton · 25/12/2023 12:22

Oh yes @Lunde I see what you mean. I'm really not keen on Camilla and all these brown clothes. I would like to see her in brighter colours.

mrsmingleton · 25/12/2023 12:29

I'm loving Anne with these hippy boots on probably from 1976 😄

Interesting to see Fergie back in the fold this morning (she doesn't look well, bless her, but I liked her coat - very Christmassy colour).

Does anyone know who the little girl is who walked out of the church with George? I'm guessing a Tindall?

There's not much to comment on in terms of clothes, as they're all dressed for a winter church service, but Louise's outfit looks a little oversized.

LadyEloise1 · 25/12/2023 12:42

Lady Louise looks lovely.
I think I would have teamed it with navy shoes.
Too much going on with Sophie's coat. Flared and the bow. I think it should be fitted with the bow or flared with no bow.
I like camel on Camilla.

I thought it was lovely Anne and her dh wearing matching scarves then I saw they were all wearing them Smile

ChicoryDip · 25/12/2023 12:42

The matching scarves are very funny! 🧣

I love Camilla in those soft colours, nice coat on Sophie, loving Louis in his tartan trews and walking along with Mia Tindall.

Less keen on Kate in the blue but that's a personal aversion to that sort of blue.

Incogg · 25/12/2023 12:43

(Twitter is suggesting it was Mia accompanying the Wales).

Beatrice and Edo at a club after royal family Xmas lunch the other day. She looks nice.

I wasn't sure it was the best photo to be honest. Must be horrible to photographed everywhere you go. I am slowly making my way through the Beckham documentary and there was an awful scene with fans in Spain banging on the family's car, frightening the children.

I like Catherine’s coat but I’m not sure about the hat. I thought it had two knitting needles through it at first, but looking closer they appear to be arrows. It’s a bit odd imo 🤔😆

Merry Christmas everyone, lots to catch up on as got a bit distracted with the pre Christmas rush! Love all the matching scarves, perhaps it was like my mother-in-law who likes to bulk but presents for us all.

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 25/12/2023 13:14

I am loving Margarita Armstrong Jones' headdress from the Christmas walk. I'm also liking all of the coats (I like a formal wool coat) but think they may have got a bit warm as it is so mild today.

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 25/12/2023 13:18

Also, I am (again) in awe of their ability to stride in heels. My first thought was that Fergie was doing well in heeled boots but then saw Sophie's incredibly narrow heels - and they're on a rough surface.
I always think it's handy none of the royals feel in love with me as I'd be a disaster.

Sisterpita · 25/12/2023 13:28

@wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain I am exactly the same.

It was a sad occasion, but Zara wearing really high heels at Prince Philip’s funeral when it was only a few weeks since giving birth was truly impressive. Mike was so careful to help her up and down the steps to the choir stalls.

Lunde · 25/12/2023 13:59

I like Kate's coat and blue boots but I'm not so keen on the feather quiver hat

QC's outfit is a bit of a miss for me - I think it's the colour that washes her out - the same outfit would be great in emerald green or burgundy

Unusually Sophies outfit is a miss for me - too much going on and a bit confused. I think the bow coat would be fine without the Crocodile Dundee style accessorising hat and bag

Anne looks great - a lady that can rock 70s boots and feathers (I bet they came from birds she shot herself 😂)

Lady Louise looks very elegant but I would have preferred boots to the strappy cream shoes

I quite like Zara's coat and boots but the yellow/beige hat makes her look like she has 60s beehive hair

I love Lady Margarita's head piece

Good to see Fergie back in the fold and welcomed to spend Christmas with her daughters and grandchildren after her difficult year. I wonder if she's had the ankle boots since the 80s?

LaurieStrode · 25/12/2023 15:35

Not keen at all on Kate's blue. It's staid and unChristmassy.

Anne has been stepping up the fashion and makeup lately.

Agree re Sophie and the "Crocodile Dundee" effect but the colour is pretty.

I'd hate to parade past spectators like that. It's so unnatural.

SenecaFallsRedux · 25/12/2023 15:38

(I bet they came from birds she shot herself 😂)

This really made me laugh.

Anne's handbag also looks vintage. She always carries a practical bag, shoulder straps and large enough to actually carry stuff. I wonder what she has in it.

mrsmingleton · 25/12/2023 17:02

I thought Kate looked a bit tired tbh and who could blame her with all the events the past few weeks. I bet they were all thinking they would rather stay in bed this morning.😂

LyingLikeACheapCarpet · 25/12/2023 18:49

@Lunde I came here to say how much I love Sophies outfit, I want her coat- please say I can get it in TKMaxx. 😁

Lunde · 25/12/2023 18:59

I wonder whether KC has made any changes to the RF Christmas to make it less formal than the Downton Abbey style of Christmas that the Queen and her parents enjoyed.

Will the kids be allowed at the table? Or will the kids still be banished to the nursery for lunch as usual? Perhaps a kids' table?

Will there still be a stuffed Boar's head on the evening buffet table?

Will they play games? Will they play Monopoly? (imagines the scene - no you can't put a bloody hotel on Park Lane and Mayfair because I already own the freehold 😂)

Do the Wales' family stay over? or do they leave early to go back to Anmer so that Will and Kate can drink cocktails and watch rubbish TV in their PJs?

TheKnittedCharacter · 25/12/2023 20:10

They all look like a bunch of frumps. Excellent, that’s what we expect.

The word frump is a bit de trop on this board.

StartupRepair · 25/12/2023 22:02

It's a Highgrove scarf apparently. Charles must have given everyone the same present.

MrsLeonFarrell · 25/12/2023 22:12

I thought they all looked lovely and very like themselves, if you see what I mean. It was a good display of individuals style and tastes and great to see the children mixing between families.

I absolutely love this photo. They just look like they enjoy each other's company so much.
