The students are the ones at the back in the elf suits traditional folk costume. I don't think it's a competition but a tradition that they bring some trees for the RF to chose from.

It's not often that Silvia has her grandchildren together but it seems that everyone is in Stockholm for Christmas.
Princess Madeleine's three - the girls in the patterned skirts/lilac cardis and the taller boy in all blue
Prince CP's three boys - in the blue and red trimmed jackets
CPV - Princess Estelle in the grey dress and Prince Oscar in the grey jacket

Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill are supposed to be moving back to Sweden having left royal life and lived in Florida for many years. It was announced 9 months ago that they would move back in August - but it's all been a bit quiet since then.

Maireas · 18/12/2023 22:27

Thanks, @Lunde - I was going to ask if you could identify the children.

On the 70s theme we had a set of dark brown Denby plates for a wedding present. So expensive at the time and we loved them. And our bathroom was avocado with avocado tiles and a floral wallpaper with a yellow carpet. Loved it.

Princess Diana's starry dress has been sold at many times more than the auction estimate. Look forward to seeing more of it on the tv news.

Di's dress sold for more than one million dollars!

Lovely shade of blue but don't think it did her any favours tbh, the proportions seem odd.

ChicoryDip · 19/12/2023 13:35

I think the politest thing I can say is that the dress is most definitely 'of its time'. 😊

So glad you said that I didn't rate it at the time

gingercat02 · 19/12/2023 14:23

Diana's legacy is unbelievable! That dress wasn't even good in the 80s!

Wow - that is a huge amount for one of my least favourite Diana dresses

MotherofPearl · 19/12/2023 19:00

I'm impressed that Max manages to pull off wearing a hard hat, but - oh my giddy aunt - those trousers! I really don't think that voluminous style does anyone any favours at all.

Incidentally, I hope @KillingMeDeftly is okay. She was a really regular poster but hasn't been on this thread at all I don't think - unless she's name changed maybe. Give us a sign Killing!

Leti today, with and without a coat, and nice ruby earrings to match.

Ooh, lovely red dress and ruby earrings. Leti knows how to wear red ♥️.
I'm not sure about the boots? Is the heels?
Anyway. Nice look. (Not brown or grey 👍)

Love Leti's red dress - but not convinced about Max's Oxford Bags

Maireas · 19/12/2023 20:20

No, even Max can't carry those off. I've yet to see them look good on anyone.

Leti is wearing my favourite kind of red. It's so luxurious and perfect for winter.

Loathe Max's trousers. I was looking for trousers for DD1 today (she's 11) and everything in her size was either skinny jeans/jeggings or these massively voluminous trousers, which would swamp her as she's a beanpole. I just want to get some regular width things for her!

ArcaneWireless · 19/12/2023 22:26

If I ever found the guts to wear red again, then Leti red would be the red for me.

Maireas · 19/12/2023 22:27

Go for it, @ArcaneWireless ! It's such a gorgeous strong colour, I'm sure you'd look great!

Do the Royals still have the Christmas Lunch at BP for the wider family?

Maireas · 19/12/2023 22:32

They usually do that, don't they, @Lunde , in the week before the immediate family go to Sandringham.

OP posts:
Eaumyword · 19/12/2023 22:33

Leti looks fab again.
Go right ahead @ArcaneWireless I'm old-ish and the chubby side of normal. I wear red a lot, be it as a jumper, dress or coat. It's such a happy cheerful colour and I love wearing it.
Normally love Max's outfits, but agree those trousers look like they are concealing Christmas elves. Lots of them...

mikado1 · 19/12/2023 22:36

Red is fab arcane. I've just ordered this on the back of Leti!

However I am petite with not sure it will suit me!!

ArcaneWireless · 19/12/2023 22:39

I will start with a kaftan. Thank you. I do admire folk who waft around in red - from a lip to a frock. You are right. It looks cheery and confident 😊

Santa and his twin could hide in those trousers. And carry a sack each. And still they would billow. Proper voluminous. And dare I say, bordering on inelegant.

She looks lovely from the jumper up.

justasking111 · 19/12/2023 22:40

Red is a wonderful colour in the winter

ArcaneWireless · 19/12/2023 22:41

Gaun yersel mikado - I hope it looks magnificent on you.

Maireas · 19/12/2023 22:43

That looks gorgeous, @mikado1 ! That's a great winter coat.
