Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Happy opening everybody, enjoy!

Willing to give this a go. My hair is wavy, and generally doesn't need volume, but sometimes when I straighten it, it could do with a bit of a boost at the roots, so will give it a try.

Pushkinini · 02/12/2023 10:58

I've just used today's offering. As the owner of fine, thin, bob length hair it has plumped it up a bit and unlike other volumising products, hasn't made it crispy or greasy.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 02/12/2023 11:00

I've got chin length curly hair, but sod it, I'm going to stick some in and see what happens!

Usually air dry, even in winter, is that OK with this or does it need heat does anyone know? It says 'dry as normal' which doesn't really mean anything!

MrsRuldolph · 02/12/2023 12:00

Unscientific experiment, right with the serum (left as you look at it!) left with nothing.

Not really volume but sleeker and more bouncer in real life....Off to try it on myself...

Thanks yo DD2 for being my guinea pig!

Washed my hair and used the hair oil.
For me it was okaaaay.
I have very thick hair prone to menopausal fluffiness. I’ve used better.

Going to donate all beauty products not suitable for me to a local women’s refuge.

BlowingAway · 02/12/2023 12:45

Was away yesterday so opened the first two this morning.

Lipstick is the exact same colour as my lips so looks like I've got a bit of gloss on. I like it.

Hair oil stuff, I'll give it a go. I've got thick curly hair so I don't need volume.

I find its lovely for air drying gives me lovely waves.

The hair thing gave my fine wavy hair some oomph and definition without weighing it down. If it doesn't make it go weird or greasy tomorrow will be a definite winner.
Tried on the lipstick today and wiped it off immediately 😱 but at least the glitter helped exfoliate? Just seen other people got a non-frosty plum shade 😒

Anjelika · 02/12/2023 14:06

I wondered about the plum - on the list of contents that was on the cardboard wrapped round the bag it says the pop lipstick is in plum. Mine was the glittery one most people seem to have though.

GlomOfNit · 02/12/2023 15:59

Late to the party but so pleased this thread is running again this year! I am the least pamper-y woman ever - but for some reason I do love this calendar and this is my third. Past calendars have introduced me to the likes of Prai night cream, Emma Hardie moringa wash, Nuxe powdery moisturiser,REN things ... Basically stuff I'd never buy myself. (Now I hunt it down on eBay!)

Lip-coloured lipstick is a win for me, the shimmer's ok. I used the hair oil today and it's bloody lovely - genuinely volumnising and made hair silky soft.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 02/12/2023 16:01

Was a bit meh about getting a hair oil but as nearly everyone is getting good results with theirs I will try mine tomorrow.

CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay · 02/12/2023 16:50

I've really liked the hair oil when it has been in previous calendars and boxes so was really pleased to see it.

TokyoSushi · 02/12/2023 18:51

I used mine this morning, I don't mind it!

I still think the absolute best thing we ever got was that beautiful Emma Hardie cleansing balm!

I was initially thinking I would sell or regift this one but seeing as it has had good feedback on here I'm going to try it :)

itsnothingoriginal · 02/12/2023 19:33

Only just opened mine...DD has used this oil before and loves it. Not one for me today but DD is happy and I know it's a good product!

weyaye · 02/12/2023 20:44

Today's is just ok for me, I will use it up but won't repurchase

H3lloMums · 02/12/2023 21:37

First M&S advent - missed it last year for more expensive ones but this year none of those appealed to me and this one looked great value. So far happy though I also got bare pop not plum pop, I already have bare pop and like it so initially happy though now feel as though I’ve missed out on trying a different colour, did anyone get plum?! Hair fine and straight so I steer clear of oils but given the great responses I’m looking forward to trying this no oil out now. So in a nutshell it’s a great start one product I already like and one looking forward to trying!

Lemonademoney · 02/12/2023 21:46

Late to the party but checking in. Loved day one, I had a pretty nude pink lipstick that I’ve already worn and like. Day two I haven’t tried yet but I do like serums so happy enough.

mechanicalpencil · 02/12/2023 22:33

What a great thread 😊
It’s my first ever beauty advent calendar!
Really loving it so far!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/12/2023 00:12

Just after midnight here & I've opened day No3.
Without giving it away, it's something that I've always wanted to try, after trying it I like it & will probably buy it when this runs out.

I think most of you will like it too 😁

Edited for spelling

fantasticoplastico · 03/12/2023 07:50

Opened mine last night too. Also love todays. It smells lovely.

ApolloandDaphne · 03/12/2023 07:56

I think this one will be nice to take on holiday.

Pawtucketbrew · 03/12/2023 07:56

This was in last years too and I've not used that one!! Agree it smells nice though. How are people using it?

TokyoSushi · 03/12/2023 08:16

Ha! I just sold one of these on Vinted a few days ago after quite liking it, but not really being sure what to do with it. I suppose at least I have another chance!
