Hello fellow M&Sers! I love the Clinique lippy for Day 1, totally my colour and I'm wearing it at work today. Happy start!

I haven't got the calendar but I'm very interested and nosey. Can anyone give more details of what it is (I gather it's a lipstick) and a picture? TIA

It's a tawny / nude lipstick by Cljnique called Bare pop.

I agree on the metallic-iness, recoiled in horror TBH 😁Straight in the donation bag. Woke me up, mind!

The lipstick isn't really my colour but I've put it on with a slightly darker lip pencil blended in and it looks nice. Feels like it'll have some staying power too.

I like it. I have twenty zillion nude pinks already though!

Oh I didn’t realise it was metallic as haven’t used. Will gift to teenage niece.

I like it but agree it was more metallic than I expected. Bringing back Heather Shimmer memories!

Opened mine last night

The lipstick isn't my colour but my mum likes it and has disappeared off with it!

I really like the colour. I don’t really wear lipstick as it looks weird on me (I have quite big but very undefined lips so look like a toddler has done my lipstick if I wear it!) but it’s maybe time for me to dip my toes in the water.

I also have this lipstick but I love it so a great treat.
I was told by the Clinique lady that it’s one of their most popular colours.

I don't think it looks metallic? I didn't even think til I read the comments on here. I like it, adds subtle colour

The Clinique Pop lipsticks are great but this one isn't my colour but DD will love it.

It doesn’t look metallic on me at all. I have many, many lipsticks and it’s one of my faves!
So glad it wasn’t bright red.

Oh I've heard of that, wasn't it the shade of the 90s? I'm a little scared to try the M&S as frosty lipsticks haven't been a thing in my entire makeup-wearing life (though this suggests they should be due a comeback any day now).

@Yogaandchocolate I thought that too! Very reminiscent of Heather Shimmer, but definitely not nearly as shimmery. I've been wearing it and I rarely wear lippy.

Very pleased with this little beauty! Great start, and I'm happy with the container - much better than last years which I managed to break on the first day

I like the lipstick. Horrified by how much packaging there is though and the vanity case is very poor quality when you take the cardboard out.

I always thought Heather Shimmer had too much blue / purple cool tones and could make people look a bit corpse like. The clinique one is definitely a warmer tone and suits my complexion a bit better. Mind, I used to use Iced Champink in the 80s, so what do I know.

I used to wear both Heather and Amethyst shimmer in the 80s, I look back in horror at Amethyst, Heather wasn't too bad, I can see why it was so popular.

The one from yesterday looks more metallic in artificial light IMO, I only wear it for daytime but do like it a lot.

The one I loved more than anything was Twilight Teaser. I think it was No 7 or No17 which no longer exists does it? It was literally flourescent purple. I thought some people looked amazing wearing it (complete with thick, metallic turquoise eye liner under the eyes) It looked bloody awful on me and I was gutted.

I'd actually love to see a resurgence of 80s make up actually.

I have to wait for DD to get up to open my calendar today.
