@Snowyowl78 @PretLea I Hope you get those a line jackets.
I’m really happy with it and fyi the sizing is fairly generous , I got the smallest size and would normally opt for an S.
I had a serious coat splurge but don’t regret either, although I did have nice non Toast coats from previous years, both that jacket and the green coat are a delight to wear and give a special sort of boost .
I’m not one who gets many compliments at all , but they come my way whenever I wear the green coat , and mostly from random men 😃!

Ooo Caroline Quentin has got me to re look at the harlequin blouse/dress … she wearing a couple of toast items in her last few posts on gardening ….. I’ve just ordered the dress, I’m finding I reach more for the crepe dresses most of the time for easy wear …

@Firesideknitting the dress was my first sale purchase. I will now check out the blogs. I know that viscose/crêpe is much reviled on here but I personally absolutely love it. No ironing and no creases? What’s not to like?!

Indeed, I have so many dresses that I have to iron as I wear, the crepe dresses don’t have the same issues, as well the cut/style is very flattering for my peri menopausal body …

OftenOrange · 26/12/2023 14:32

@sonjadog I bought that dress in the previous sale and paid more , so it’s a great price .
It has that typically Toast slightly voluminous back which I eventually decided was fine , I think these things great on others and one of the in lives Evie models it beautifully.
The vibe is so Summery , carefree and fresh, so I’m sure you’ll like it.

sonjadog · 26/12/2023 14:34

@OftenOrange Thanks! That sounds good. I look forward to trying it on! :-)

ToastCosILoveIt · 26/12/2023 15:29

Thanks for the heads up re Uniform Research. I had ordered the Donegal Persimmon sweater at full price in Toast and reordered at £50 less with Uniform Research.

BettinaInDenmark · 26/12/2023 17:44

I am contemplating the Alder check seersucker dress - could someone tell me if it is see-through and if the armholes are deep and bra-showing?
Thanks in advance!

Countmeout · 26/12/2023 18:13

I cannot help with the Alder in that style @BettinaInDenmark but I have it in a different style and the fabric is not see through, still nice and light and airy for summer. Washes really well.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Boxing Day.

Dispatch email on my 1st sale order …. Very happy everything in stock

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 27/12/2023 09:23

I've got one despatch email as well. Hoping a few more things will be added to the sale soon.

Noeggsontoast · 27/12/2023 09:51

Me too. All 4 orders despatched. Very pleased.

Countmeout · 27/12/2023 09:59

I have 2 dispatch emails. Nothing for the Alix yet.

I haven't had my despatch emails!!

Brackenfield · 27/12/2023 11:02

No dispatch email here but I'm currently away so not too upset about it 😅

Saurus72 · 27/12/2023 12:34

I got my 2 despatch emails, I’ve got high hopes for 2 of the 3 things I’ve ordered 🤞. Off to The White Company and JL sales today - I need to up my PJ game and also on the lookout for Susanne Kaufmann skincare. Probably not clothes. Going ninja style - focused, in and out, not browsing for hours, the sofa and films are calling…

Hope everyone is having a relaxing and cosy Christmas.

Zeusrules · 27/12/2023 12:38

I've got all three of my dispatch emails now although they can in reverse order which was a little concerning. Good luck in the sales @Saurus7, having been to the gym I shall be glued to the sofa for the rest of the day.

faustina · 27/12/2023 13:07

One of my orders has been despatched so am partially relieved - good luck at the sales @Saurus72 - hope you find something nice. I have ordered some bras from JL to try but will be picking up locally tomorrow - my least favourite kind of shopping because the sizing is so haphazard - even worse than Toast if you can believe that!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 27/12/2023 13:56

I can believe that @faustina bra sizing is a nightmare. I try and stick to the same brand and style but that can still be hit and miss.

Dee1224 · 27/12/2023 14:16

Hi, I have had 1 of my 2 orders marked as despatched as of this morning.

I went real life shopping at 8am this morning, for reasons best known to myself. M&S was the seventh circle of hell. I quickly retreated, clutching one pair of knickers and some bargain cutlery 😹

On the bra front: Two sale purchases arrived whilst I was out. They were too big, (which is better too small), and, whilst pretty, gave no support. At least that’s bit of money clawed back from the too much I have spent in the sales!

agnesmartin · 27/12/2023 14:32

Hate bra shopping also but went to Bravissimo a few months ago and reluctantly let myself be persuaded to go downstairs to a changing room so someone could help me find bras and it was a revelation. Must've tried on about 7 (all fitted differently!) - but she went and got them and it was really quick and left with a really comfy one. Only took about 30 mins. Would recommend!

faustina · 27/12/2023 14:39

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - I try that but then they change the styles and it all goes titsup (see what I did there?) 😁

Has anyone else ever fallen for the instagram ads promising that you can have a stretchy unwired bamboo bra and it will work for DD+? That was my last foray into trying bras. Hopefully one of the three from JL will come up trumps. I'm back to underwired again

Nanasueathome · 27/12/2023 15:14

1 of my 2 orders so far has been dispatched
I now want/need the tie waist geometric print dress, size L. It’s out of stock in my size. I checked with live chat this morning to see if they could locate one for me but no luck. I now need to hope for a return.

ScottishMouse · 27/12/2023 15:51

Oh bra shopping is my idea of hell, good luck @faustina. I gave up on underwires years ago (probably when pregnant I think), and I since learned that the reason I could never find a bra that fit properly is that I have pectus carinatum (where the breastbone and ribs protrude). I recently bought some Arq bras (stretchy cotton pull on crop tops essentially) and although I fully recognise that they give very little support, the comfort factor is too good. The shape they give for a bigger bust is probably not what society/the patriarchy/younger than me women would suggest is ideal, but at this point in my life this is not my priority.
