I also got the red striped wool and tencel tee and realised I’ve make a big error thinking it would go with my green pinafore and green jumpsuit- Xmas elf vibes!!! I’m still keeping it but not with green!

HolidayAtNight · 15/12/2023 12:40

I wonder if there's any chance of the wrap cord jumpsuit appearing in another colour. I love the style but I know from experience that light-coloured clothes just end up sitting in the wardrobe. Or maybe I could dye it?

chalkyc2 · 15/12/2023 12:46

Hello - signing up to join you all after finally getting the my first Toast purchase of the Donegal grey yoke sweater (in the right size - need to return one of them!) -having started an extensive deliberation thread on here! I love it and now want the orange version too...

My clothes budget doesn't really allow for this!!

Snowyowl78 · 15/12/2023 13:32

@HolidayAtNight id be careful because I don’t think it’s garment dyed (usually they say) and so the thread won’t dye

Snowyowl78 · 15/12/2023 13:35

@HolidayAtNight it actually wasn’t as light as I expected.

HolidayAtNight · 15/12/2023 14:25

@Snowyowl78 Thanks, good to know! I might just take the plunge then!

HoldingOnForAHeron · 15/12/2023 14:38

@HolidayAtNight , dyeing is rarely a complete success. It might be worth asking Toast if they plan to introduce a different colour, or to try it to see if the style suits you and if so get a copy made.

@Dee1224 - thanks for the Seasalt heads up!

Have gone for one of these in the Blanket Geo Magpie

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 15:41

I like that bag @Stoic123

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 16:59

So, what are our best guesses for when the sale is likely to start?

My sister says Sunday 24/12, whereas my money’s on Friday 22nd or Saturday 23rd. Wondering also if they might open the sale up to Kindred the night before it goes onto the website for all customers.

Toast won’t want anyone to be able to order in time for Xmas, (as that goes against whatever passes for their business model), so I think Thursday is less likely than later in the week.

What are your thoughts?

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 17:00

I believe my Kindred Xmas card has arrived, but haven’t seen it as am still in bed 🙃.

Stoic123 · 15/12/2023 17:53

@Dee1224 - my guess is afternoon of Thu 21st (2pm-5pm start) as Toast has now confirmed last posting time for Christmas as for "Express or Next Working Day Delivery: Order by midday on Thu 21 December". Toast will allow a couple of hours to get orders despatched for Xmas and will then start the sale for Kindred with 23rd open up to non-Kindred.

This is a total guess - they surprised us with a Monday start on the last sale....

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 18:04

That sounds very promising @Stoic123 - good thinking!

Snowyowl78 · 15/12/2023 18:12

I think 21/22 but early access? That’s what it was last time. Doesn’t it mean you could get next day del anyway?

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 18:24

That’s why I was thinking it might be a day or so later @Snowyowl78 - I know how toast loathe the idea of anyone getting a bargain before Xmas🤣and if we could order on Thursday, there’s an outside chance of arrival before Xmas. But I am also swayed by @Stoic123 ’s logic.

Will be interested to see what they decide.

MrsRadichio · 15/12/2023 19:05

I had a sale purchase on 19 Dec last year which sounds quite early.

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 19:16

Interesting @MrsRadichio - I don’t remember if I ordered anything. Wondering now if it will be Wednesday night for Kindred only…

Stoic123 · 15/12/2023 19:31

Last December was when we discovered the secret backdoor into the sale on the 19th and some of us got an early order in. Backdoor was then shut down until the sale officially started on evening of the 22nd.

lordloveadog · 15/12/2023 19:54

welcome to the Toasty side, @chalkyc2 !

and I hope you feel better soon @Dee1224

In the sale I'd like a nightie, that nice stripey one. And I'm always a sucker for knitwear and socks. The socks are insanely expensive now in the euro pricing so I haven't bought any at full price. Would also like to try the light green cord pull on trousers.

Today have been out and about in Toast jeans, the blanket stitch coat and a seasalt jumper (one of the 'you wouldn't guess this was seasalt' ones). Teenager-approved outfit so it must be pretty good.

Oh, also, I got some Falke woolly tights in a sale a while ago and didn't rate them, but now I've gymmed a lot and shrunk a bit they apparently fit properly and are a dream.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 15/12/2023 20:09

I made 3 'backdoor' orders on the 19th last year and then nothing until the 22nd. There’s not an awful lot I’m looking for in the sale this time but I would like some homeware.

Dee1224 · 15/12/2023 20:13

Thanks @lordloveadog

I think I want the blue dress with the white pinstripe that I tried on instore - can’t remember its name but it was very nice!

Stoic123 · 15/12/2023 20:28

@lordloveadog - how are you finding the blanket stitch coat?

Snowyowl78 · 15/12/2023 20:41

@lordloveadog are you in Europe? Do you get stung for customs fees and such?

MiracleToast · 15/12/2023 22:39

Does anyone have (or have tried) these green wool trousers? I’m wondering how they are sizing-wise, I so hope they’ll be in the sale and thinking ahead to prepare!
