General “waifs and strays” beauty advent calendar opening thread

As in previous years, this a thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads (though also happy for contents of those to be shared here too).

As previously, it will also be fun to hear about other calendar openings - food, jam, socks anyone?

Please do not include spoilers before 7am on the relevant day. Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

I’ll be opening the Vogue and Selfridges calendars this year. Really looking forward to Day 1.

Day 5 of Snag tights. What do you all think of these?

Well, the snag tights calendar certainly didn't disappoint today. Where will you wear those @Dogsitterwoes ?

You could always invest in a court jester costume!

😂 Snag tights did not understand the assignment.

In all fairness to the Snag folk, we have to give them 10/10 for creativity.

I’m yet to open mine as I haven’t been home (work, not ‘stopping out’). I hope there’s chocolate.

The thing is, I like the Snag lairy coloured tights. But it's usually only one colour per pair.
I get the feeling they are shifting unpopular stock...

I'm surprised, I think that M&S is excellent this year. In fact I think that it's their best year yet.

I guess it depends on what you like/use @MidnightMeltdown - I loathe hair oil, and am allergic to Pixi lip plump. The lipstick is fine, but I have several identical ones already from samples😿. I liked the Nuxe oil door and was ok about trying Murad.

It’s totally my fault for not checking the contents beforehand 😿

I like Murad products and I may try the Nuxe, but I would never wear a lipstick in that colour or the lip gloss. I think I got carried away with the cheap price, and I fear that yet another black mascara or nail varnish may put in an appearance 😆😆. I should have checked the contents too.

Lovely Bluebell fragranced body mist in Jo Malone today- will keep it for spring as actually as strong a fragrance as their colognes imo.
Dd’s Degusta was 2 cadburys chocolate Christmas puddings, so all good.

DoD for me today with No7. I don't use mascara at all.

111 skin molecular mask (I don’t remember where this came from) and a penguin (chocolate biscuit) today.

Day 5 of Soap and Glory was the Speed Plump moisturiser. That’s a DoD for me as it says it’s for dry skin and I’m oily. Will give it to my mum who suffers with a flaky forehead.
Forgot to update yesterday, day 4 was a mini Magnificoco body scrub, it smells lush.

Please tell me the snag tights calendar is a 24 day one! It’s brightening my days and filling the gap left by the lack of HoF calendar in recent years.

So far I’ve been fairly underwhelmed by the Harrods calendar. I suppose I can always use a new travel mascara.
must say that the daily Snag tights reveal is keeping me going!
