Hi, I have a question for those who buy the mystery Bridal Beauty boxes:

Are there likely to be things in there like eyebrow gels, makeup fixing sprays, face powders, brushes, dry shampoos? I hate all those things and have no one to gift them to, so they usually go straight in the bin if I can’t donate them.

I do like trying new moisturisers, serums, eye creams, body lotion, eye shadow, lipsticks, shower gels, etc.

I am tempted by the box, but am dithering. It’s stupid, but I would be so disappointed if I wasted my money.

I have just ordered the Bridal Beauty box. I also don’t use setting sprays, eyebrow gels, powder and don’t need any more brushes so hoping it isn’t filled with things like that. The reviews look very good.

I looked at HN but the voucher inclusions annoy me. It's a hassle trying to get appointments for stuff like that, I just want good products.

Just ordered The Bridal Beauty Box too. Such good reviews so fingers crossed

I have not bought from Bridal Beauty before so cannot advise, but the free Charlotte Tilbury swung it for me.

No doubt there will be some random items which is usually the way this these things. My local food bank accept unused make up and toiletries and it is for charity if that makes you feel better about it.

I'm kind of relieved that there aren't a amazing discounts as it means that I'm not tempted to buy anything that I wouldn't have otherwise considered!

I do think that there's a bit of a cascade effect. Once a couple of the big ones sell out, people panic and buy their next favourite in case that also sells out. The more sell out, the more likely people are to snap up what's left as the choice is removed.

Also, lots of stuff tends to sell out at the end of the month when people get paid.

I’m not sure I believe the likes of Liberty genuinely sold out. It wouldn’t surprise me if the same products make their way into various edits and boxes over the next year.

Other than Space NK, it doesn’t seem like any of the ACs were hugely popular this year. It should make our waifs thread interesting.

Yeah I had the exact same thought re Liberty. I’d bet anything is not sold out.

I went for HN for £212.50 rather than the Liberty one this year.

I agree with pp the voucher inclusions are annoying. A voucher for an appointment is not a luxury for me.

I love Liberty beauty products... I might regret not getting one. But there will always be beauty boxes ...

I’ve just bought the bridal mystery £50 box too so I can relax now I have something!

everything seems to be selling out and I’m not interested in CB so I will pick up a few bits on Vinted and plan for next year! The retailers really seem to have done their sales forecasting well.

If anyone opens the Beauty boxes, I’d love to know what’s in them. I’ve had emails but haven’t even tempted with no idea of the contents. Surely they’d be better off saying what’s in them if they're so good?

If anyone lives near a Fenwicks store, I have just been shopping and their advent is displayed with a sign saying 30% off which is a bigger discount than they are offering online

I have just bought my 20 year old DS a half price Harry Potter Lego calendar in Fenwicks. I thought my days of buying Lego calendars were over now they are adults but he has requested one!

Me too. I went for the £50 mystery box. I also hope it's not full of brushes, eyebrow stuff, and make up. 😆

I've really regretted not getting the Harrods calendar. I bought it last year and have seen some from 2021 for sale on eBay. Would the products still be ok after two years if they've not been opened?

I've also decided to go for the mystery beauty bag. I haven't bought a calendar this year. Not even a chocolate one! None of them have really grabbed me - seemed like quite a few duplicates (I love Bum Bum cream but am sick of Barbara Sturm which does nothing for me) and DoDs.

Also hoping to avoid make up, brushes and eyebrow stuff but at least my son's flatmates will be pleased with those!

I'm pondering on the mystery £50 bag.
Too much risk it would have repeats for me as I've already ordered the £100 mystery box and the previous mystery box with a mystery AC.
I think I'm also a bit annoyed at having missed out of the free £5 delivery charge.
Which is ridiculous considering I've spent £300 on no idea what!

@Growlybear83 I went for the £50 one too! I'm interested to see if they all contain the same products though or the boxes are all different! I guess we can compare once they arrive.

I didn't get an advent calendar either however I did get the cult beauty make up cracker which I love, signed up to the liberty beauty drop which sent the latest box that I also love, got the QVC Elemis deal and now this mystery box! So I think I'm all done now and there'll be no AC for me. I will follow the threads on the AC reveals throughout the month though and live vicariously through everyone else

I had a discount code for 10% off as not purchased from Bridal Beauty before but when I used it the free Black Friday delivery reverted back to the £5 which made me a bit miffed 😐

Never bought a mystery box before as quite fussy with what I use and can’t actually believe I just did, FOMO was setting in after reading this thread today - thanks Mumsnet!

Looking forward though to seeing what’s in it 😀

I'm not sure how old it is but I've just bought a Ghost fragrance calendar off Vinted for a tenner. It will be nice to have some new ghost miniatures.
