This is a thread to discuss the buying of beauty calendars and not the opening of them. There may be general discussion about contents of a calendar but please do not share information about what is behind a specific door you've opened. Thank you

@Pinenu that is really kind of you and a great idea. I will definitely have a sort out once I have opened my advent as there is bound to be stuff I don’t need and see if there is similar close to me
@QueefofSheena which is “that” cream. I think vinted is usually quite good. My daughter buys quite a bit from there

@narniabusiness yes please! I'd definitely join, I've been on at least one of the MN calendar threads every December since 2020 and it makes the opening process even more fun. DH couldn't care less what I get so it's nice to chat

Not quite the same but I rebought the Liberty 2022 AC from eBay a couple of months ago for £200 - bargain. I did it bc I loved both fragrances which were at least £70 to rp even on eBay, plus several other items I had used up. I sold the doubles (lippy was lovely but I don’t need two) and a few duds. Everything was totally fine.

I picked up the Harrods 2021 calendar on eBay in Jan 2022 for a bargainous £100. I probably still have a couple of the products left!

@Pinenu there’s a refuge here that I’ll donate some things to. They also have an Amazon wish list with toiletries so it’s easy to see what they need.

@Puravida23 its Bader. I’ll have several by the time I’ve opened my AC and a box, and I wasn’t that impressed with the beauty drop sample. Looks like there are quite a few on Vinted, so I’ll give it a go.

Yes...they last ages. I had that calendar and loved every day of it. It was one of the best ever.

I don't have it this year but would love to follow along. There will always be a special place in my heart for the F & M calendar. My first ever luxury one, some years ago, and with the most Christmassy packaging of all the calendars. 💕

Yes, I keep all my products out of sunlight and in a cold room. Never had issues. I have perfume almost thirty years old that still smells perfect (looking at you Ivoire Balmain).

I think there are a fair amount of Vogue left. I received mine today and it was box 2000-and-something out of 5200.

I think they've overpriced it. Not 'luxurious' enough to be worth £350 compared to similar 'luxury' calendars.

Posters are asked not to post before a certain time. I think it's usually 7 or 8am.

@BaconAndAvocado The usual etiquette is to not comment on that days gift until after an agreed time in the morning and never to talk about anything that is coming up in the days ahead. Not even a tiny hint like ‘If you love makeup there’s plenty still to come’.

PPs have beat me to it, but yeah just not talking about what's coming up in the next boxes, or posting before the day (or bang on midnight!) to say what's in a specific box. This thread is for general contents discussion but the opening threads aren't. You can't always avoid it, I bought ages ago and have spent weeks trying to forget what's in there, so I'll be quite annoyed if someone pops on and does the whole 'oh well I opened in November so I can tell those of you who want a candle day 25 will be exciting!' (not a genuine example!)

Just had an email saying there’s a limited amount of Look Fantastic available for £99. I really don’t need it but I’m so tempted!!!

I agreed with Cosmetopia - if they had left out the socks and jewellery and priced it lower, it would have been amazing. The calendar to end all calendars.

But I disagreed with her when she said you need to keep buying Foreo masks to use it...you don't. You can use serum or ordinary facemasks. It's also not gimmicky. My face feels great after using it and the serum on the face masks just sinks in so much better with this little gadget, rather than just laying them over your face for ten minutes.

I thought it had sold out!! Must be returns. I bought it for my daughter and the box looks fabby.

I thin' it's usually about 7.30?
