This is a thread to discuss the buying of beauty calendars and not the opening of them. There may be general discussion about contents of a calendar but please do not share information about what is behind a specific door you've opened. Thank you

I have Boots premium and No 7. No 7 is for january.

I love opening them in December in the run up to Christmas but couldn't ever get into it in January. I cant even bear to have the boxes lying around...they're deposed to the shed, no matter how pretty, u til I get them recycled. Once Christmas is over I want to get back to normality and put it all behind.

I seem to have bought the Next AC in the middle of the night 😳 To be fair I think I'll use all the products and I think it looks fab!

That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it 😆

I caved and bought it too yesterday. It has gone back up to £95 today.

I need to stop now, bought boots, M&S (already opened) next and bridal beauty mystery bag.

Not ac related but just got the LIB Sarah Jossell edit on their TikTok shop for £42.00. They’ve got a voucher 30% off orders over £30 when you add to cart.

@Ohdear7 I got that for the same price from TikTok a while back and it is fab well worth £42.
I am almost tempted to buy it again as a gift for DD.

Thank God nearly all the others are sold out. I think I’m going to open four throughout December and save one for January. Haven’t decided which one yet.

Think I'll open MB and M&S through Dec advent and then open 4 things each day from my Next AC between Xmas and NY. I don't want to get to used to opening something every day across Nov Dec and Jan and then possibly lose the excitement. First world problems I know! 😳🙈

I'll then have all The Stuff that will apparently make me beautiful from the start of 2024 😆

Relieved that Space NK fragrance AC is out of stock now. I did buy the Next box for £15 which is out for delivery.

I think an awful lot of people were expecting bargains after last years discounts, but they've been caught out and are now snapping up whatever's left.

Probably why Next have put the price back up - they must be one of the only 24 day multi brands left.

I've seen several Harrods calendars selling for around £450 on eBay and M&S for around £100. Madness!

Any last min advent calendar bargains to be had?

I've been very tempted by the 2021 harrods calendar on eBay - there are a couple of sellers who have them listed for around the original price but I'm worried that some of the products will be out of date by now. Do things generally have a reasonably long shelf life?

@Growlybear83 I’d be tempted to take the risk. Most products last a long time if unopened, and in my view that 2021 Harrods calendar was their best ever. Lovely box, all the products came in little Harrods bags (dropped for the 2022 calendar) and the range of products was excellent.

NAP is back to £275. I suspect they will withdraw it from sale rather than slash the price. There are a few good things, but a PU jewellery box isn’t exactly luxurious and the bracelets don’t have wide appeal

@Growlybear83 I think most products would be fine if sealed and kept in the dark.
Please be extra careful and check the sellers' profile etc. it is a lot of money with no guarantee.

I wonder how much Vogue will sell on eBay for, when they are out if stock?!

I'm starting to think some people just buy lots of expensive AC only for reselling purposes.

I just got the tiktok LiB edit for £25.19!! When I scrolled down there was a 30% off voucher. Delighted but I really don't need it 🙃

Yes, there are usually separate threads for the biggies, and then a waifs and strays thread. I have F&M but haven't seen many others saying they've bought that one so I might end up on the latter thread this year.

@BreadInCaptivity this thread is full of spoilers, the point of it (and the previous 4 threads) was to discuss the contents and make a decision about which to buy. Given that it's 28th November you're probably safe, but if you really want to avoid the contents it might be best to leave the thread and wait for the December opening (spoiler-free) thread

I’m going to sell a few bits from my various boxes/AC including ‘that’ cream. Is Vinted the best place? I’ve sold clothes but never beauty items on there.

We have a local women’s refuge that advertise for toiletries and the like around this time. It’s a ‘leave at a safe place and we’ll collect’ type thing.

I’ve sorted through my pile and ordered some of the CB edits to give. I don’t know if any of it will be of use but just mention it in case anyone is wondering about what to do with any excess stash.
