What would you look like?
(This is meant to be fun, also includes husband/wife/partner, whichever you prefer).

Mine would have me in skinny jeans with a fitted jersey tucked in (imagine the bloat days!). Or basic jersey black leggings with a slinky top, ffs! Coats would be feminine little conservative affairs from Hobbs. Or a neat little Barbour cropped jacket.
Doesn't seem fussy about footwear, but thinks most of the jumpers at Johnstons of Elgin look 'scruffy'. (he hasn't been shown the price tags, lol).

He has never told me this before, but I do have memories of him excessively complimenting me in skinnies. Getting this info out of him was like pulling teeth Grin

Naked most likely 😂 but otherwise blue boyfriend jeans (his favourite) with a chunky belt, any top that shows off my shoulders and heeled boots.

Toesaresoweird · 20/11/2023 17:38

Probably a patent leather pink mini skirt, stripper shoes and a low cut top. I'm not even trying to be funny. Day to day I dress conservatively.

If he had to really "try" and not choose slutty clothes, he'd probably choose tights, black leather skirt and a tight fitting knitted top.

dudsville · 20/11/2023 17:39

Funny thread idea op! I think mine would have me in neutral coloured fleeces and jeans, practical and efficient clothing, as opposed to my pretty things that are a little more attention seeking in colour and style!

Topseyt123 · 20/11/2023 17:41

Mine doesn't offer any opinions and hasn't for many years.

It was decades ago that I disabused him of the idea that I would ever wear stilettoes or other high heels again. Last time was in my student days and I hated them.

He's now happy with whatever I wear, I'm relieved to say. We both just slob around in jeans and tracksuit bottoms (or shorts if the weather is hot).

KohlaParasaurus · 20/11/2023 17:44

I suspect I'd look more immaculate than I imagine myself capable of looking. When my youngest daughters were still living at home and were very particular about how they dressed, DH was the one they'd ask for his opinion on outfits or to take them shopping and help them choose clothes, and he's got a good eye, even if he sometimes looks as if he's got dressed in the dark himself.

Or else I'd be in a bra and small knickers.

LadyPoncenbyFroglett · 20/11/2023 17:46

Ah yes, I must admit that he has a sharp eye for the ludicrous, so insane trends don't pass muster with him at all. I can always use him as a guide to avoiding ludicrous shoes.

Thankfully he never liked heels, perhaps a modest wedge.
Maybe they think about it as if they were a woman themselves, the answers are often like a small boy's xmas party vision of femininity Grin

I think I would look pretty weird. I know there are some posters who consider me one of the fashionista tribe but I can assure you, his taste is far more out there than mine.

I need to know his taste now Grin

Denim skirt. I have had one for years. Doesn't matter what I wear it with, it is guaranteed to get his attention.

Think of the most insane Vogue photo shoot you've ever seen and then push it a bit further.

Admittedly you'd never know it to look at him a lot of the time, but we go shopping together at my peril.

Firnie · 20/11/2023 17:50

Black dresses with low cut tops.

Definitely not the track pants that I wear every day...

IrmaBunt · 20/11/2023 17:51

One of those dinosaur suits.

LadyPoncenbyFroglett · 20/11/2023 17:51

Hah, Flo, those sound like interesting shopping trips!

Blinkityblonk · 20/11/2023 17:54

Mine would have me in a colourful pretty dress, as he watched too much Miss Marple when he was brought up abroad and thinks that's what English women look like (must have been disappointed about the lack of cottage as well).

onawave · 20/11/2023 17:54

If he could choose anything it would be tight jeans and a low cut top. Probably a pair of high heels as well.
At this point in time I think he'd probably be over the moon to see me in anything that isn't black leggings and a hoody to be honest.

IrmaBunt · 20/11/2023 17:56

Tech-y rather than science-y, but when I ask him what I should wear for a particular occasion (like a job interview) he'll suggest tiger feet and a wizard hat, or clown shoes and a monkey suit.

LadyPoncenbyFroglett · 20/11/2023 17:58

He would positively run from Plumo or Toast. I'm quite partial o occasion, although they've gone a bit too zany children's presenter from the 70's for me lately.

SkyFullofStars1975 · 20/11/2023 17:58

I'd be in a very low cut top with push up bra visible, tight skirt, fishnet stockings, heels, red lipstick and tacky long red talons. And big hair. Like a 1980s hooker.

Hence he has no say in my outfits AT ALL Grin I'm a skinny jeans, Joe Brown top with DM's sort of woman.

See, I could live with that Grin

A mess. He likes me in things that button up, and I'm a JJ cup with a waist.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 20/11/2023 18:01

White stuff or Seasalt.

I rarely wear patterned clothing .

Blueskiesforecast · 20/11/2023 18:02

A really long, loose and high collared dress( Laura Ashley Edwardian style ones are his favourites) and from his comments a headscarf. And in the house probably a burka so I didn't distract him WFH.
