cant remember what my cheap Supersrug ripoff of Clarins flash balm is called, but it does work, and only costs about £3.

Is also good as a face mask as well.

I will look at it and see what it's called tonight.

Flier · 11/03/2008 12:51

I think the Body shop used to do one too, not sure if they still do.

cheeryface · 13/03/2008 22:14

whats it supposed to do ?

have never bothered with it. have got some protect and perfect serum, would that do it?

EachPeachPearMum · 13/03/2008 22:19

Yes it makes a difference- makes your skin ultra lovely beneath your foundation.

LOOBYLOU2 · 13/03/2008 22:20

It makes my face glowy and foundation goes on better with it on

janeite · 13/03/2008 22:24

I tried the Superdrug one ages ago. I quite liked it as a mask and washing it off but I didn't like putting it on under makeup etc as it made me feel a bit sticky and cold if that makes sense. I've never tried the Clarins stuff to compare it with though.

Maidamess · 13/03/2008 22:28

'yeah its great' Baaaaaaaaaaa

rookiemater · 13/03/2008 22:34

I used the Clarins flash balm. Made my foundation feel sticky, looked same amount of wrinkled as before.

DrNortherner · 13/03/2008 22:36

OK I always read about this beauty flash balm. What is a budget alternative and I will buy tomorrow?

I'm running out of Clarins so might try a cheaper one. What's the Tesco one like?

LOOBYLOU2 · 13/03/2008 22:42

Never tried it but the Barbara Daly Tesco stuff is supposed to be pretty good isn't it

Flibbertyjibbet · 13/03/2008 22:54

I tried the superdrug one and it made my face feel sticky and no less knackered looking.
Currently have some No7 stuff in a pump bottle that I slap on for 6.45 am breakfast meetings and although I do look better than most of the other attendees thats probably cos they are all middle aged blokes who didn't have time for a shave that early...

I still prefer clarins to all pretenders. Have tried lots of others!

bundle · 13/03/2008 23:00

cod have bought some henna in a bar (lush) today - looks excellent and girl in covent garden branch (waist length japanesey hair, gorgeous) had used the red version - very good colour, lotsa shine

SilentTerror · 14/03/2008 07:02

Tesco 'Face Lift' quite god I think, especially for £6.
Tesco 'Skin Wisdom' do a brightening balm also that is good, more like the Clarins one I think.
I use a No7 pinky toned highlighter thing sometimes underneath foundation and that is ok too.
Oh,have remembered another Barbara Daly one too,not quite the same thing but added to foundation makes skin all dewy. It is called 'Soft Focus'.

2sugars · 14/03/2008 07:09

Witch Hazel on your lips? Cod, are you trying to make us all look haggered so you can look like the whippersnapper amonst us?

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 14/03/2008 07:19

I've got the M&S version. Haven't used it often enough. Will try using it for a few days and report back.
