Next best (cheaper) thing to Elemis please!

I got the Elemis cleansing balm as part of a beauty box and would LOVE to get the Elemis pro-collagen Marine moisturiser but the cheapest I’ve found it is £74 (Amazon).

It’s too much money for me.

Are there any similar moisturisers out there but much more budget-friendly?

I’m 54 with combination skin.

I googled Elemis dupe and got this. I’ve done this with lots of products recently - it’s a bit hit and Miss but I’ve found some good ones. Now totally devoted to my Lacura (from Aldi) day and night creams which are a fraction of the price of my old No.7 ones.

looks like something I might buy when my Elemis balm has run out.
Its the moisturiser I’m really interested in.

I used to use Elemis all the time, but now I use Temple Spa products. I recommend Double Cream www.templespa.com/double-cream-moisturiser The Truffle range is gorgeous but very expensive, more expensive than Elemis. They often have good offers on though, like £40 off Skin Truffle.

QVC do Elmis and sometimes have Elmis TSV ( special value collections). You could consider looking there in the future.

I can vouch for the Pure M&S balm, and also the day cream and night cream in the same range. I've used Elemis in the past, and now use only the Pure range as I feel it is as good if not better.

I have the marine cream and tbh I don't rate it for the money. I prefer simple and Nivea

I agree with the poster above who said to check QVC, they often have Elemis on offer and sometimes offer easy pay where you pay in three or four interest free instalments

Also, Black Friday is coming up. I use Dermalogica and stock up on during Black Friday week as can't afford it otherwise.

So you are suggesting getting into debt over a face cream?

I usually get one of the QVC Elemis boxes as a Christmas gift, I think last year's TSV was on or around November 12th. They're very good value for money compared to buying each item separately but obviously you still need to have £70 or so.

Its not finance, there is no credit check or interest. It’s an alternative option for the op to consider, I am sure she is capable of deciding whether it is something she would like to consider or not.

Believe it or not my neighbour works in labs which formulate skincare
She told me that skincare ranges from Aldi, in particular have almost identical ingredients to Elemis.
She has tested them and uses Aesop for shower etc but not high end skincare

@uncomfortablydumb53 I keep hearing this but I tried Aldi (and Lidls) skincare and am allergic to it but I'm not to Elemis. Was so gutted!

If you really want Elemis then QVC do the best deals on Elemis, there is a tsv coming up in the next week I think. Also I’m sure Elemis do 3 for 2 in January.

i can’t comment on other cleansing balms but I do love the marine cream. I have oily skin and use the marine cream at night and the rose marine cream in the day. The lactic acid peel and midnight facials are amazing too. Elemis did a mystery box last year for 100 and think it had 6 items.

when I run out of Elemis marine I like using neutrogena water cream which is cheap, glow recipe creams are also lovely.

I love Elemis, but found this to be underwhelming. It didn't feel rich, or that it was giving my 50ish face enough moisture. My skin is combination. What type of skin do you have OP?

I've been a long term user of Elemis Pro- collagen marine cream. I have a 'normal' skin and have recently switched to Boots number 7 Future Renew which I find just as good but cheaper.

LateMumma I also have combi skin.
