Gudrun Sjödén

As I'm getting older, I'm loving the layered, slightly bonkers Gudrun Sjödén look and find their website and photos quite lovely. Also, I feel I'd kind of suit that look as I'm tall, pale and ginger! But I'm not very confident and tend to live in jeans, and I'm not great at putting stuff together- which is the whole basis of the Gudrun look, I suppose! Individually, their clothes seem a bit meh, but they're amazing when put together with other stuff.
How can I learn how to do this? Any tips? And anywhere else I can but those sorts of clothes on a budget?
TIA

Identify what you like about it and either make your own clothes, look for less expensive alternatives or 2nd hand.

If making your own, japanese clothes often have this sort of look but in more subdued colours. If looking online I think it's described as 'lagenlook'

Thank you! I've never made my own clothes but would like to have a go. I think I've never found a style that is really me iykwim, and I really like this quirky layered look.

What is this style? I love it! | Mumsnet

You could also try the What Monty Don would wear thread and the Toasties one

Some of the brands sold by Plumo might be up your street too. I like Yacco Maricard

Ooooh thanks! That looks about right. I think I'm going to have to construct an outfit to buy and wear instead of buying random bits as usual.

There is lots on vinted and also a fb buying and selling group.

Also plenty on ebay
It might be worth ordering a complete outfit or two from GS to see if it's 'you'
