I have a gig lined up for the beginning of next month - I need something to wear

It's quit a big folk gig (normally do ones on a small scale and am there as background noise)

This time I am part of a band and all eyes will be on us

Anyway, I want something nice to wear. Not trousers because they make me look stumpy.

I am 5ft 1, built like a badlt tied sack of spuds, reddy, blondey browny hair. Have big bazookas. I am playing the cello, so it needs to be something that allows me to, ahme, open my legs.

Will see a lot of old faces there - I don;t want them to think I have gorn off.

fkin namechangers so bloody annoying arent we?

JackieNo · 08/03/2008 16:09

How about this (or maybe too short?) Comes in different lenths though. Look at the enlarged pic to see how full it is.

JackieNo · 08/03/2008 16:10

Is this too summery?

BoysOnToast · 08/03/2008 16:10

flashing maryjane at folkers may brighten proceedings anyway... are the songs a bit melancholy? could the mood do with a lift? [titter]

nailpolish · 08/03/2008 16:12

nice skirts here

BoysOnToast · 08/03/2008 16:12

shape of a-line skirt is lovely!

nailpolish · 08/03/2008 16:13

full skirts

BoysOnToast · 08/03/2008 16:13

less keen on the maxi's... but then i dont think the pics online do then justice. need to be seen in the flesh i spose

JackieNo · 08/03/2008 16:14

Or this one, but it's linen, so definitely summery.

nailpolish · 08/03/2008 16:15

i didnt know you played the cello! i played the double bass for a while but i had achey hands and they teacher told me my hands were too small.

SheikYerbouti · 08/03/2008 16:17

Don;t play as much as I'd like.

I teach, but I have a Real Job and children that prevent me from going more

I'd love to play double bass

nailpolish · 08/03/2008 16:19

SheikYerbouti · 08/03/2008 16:20

That's nice too

I have a similar sress to that actually, but instead of a hoop it's got 4 buttons at the side. (I think I wore it to the xmas party)
