I've got an industry event and dress code is 'cocktail'

Does this work?

Yes looks perfect to me

gotomomo · 13/10/2023 07:41

Yes though quite short for work, depending on your industry

Flyinggeesei234 · 13/10/2023 08:43

Yes. Extra points for great fabric. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

BCBird · 13/10/2023 08:47

It is gorgeous. I would love yo be able to wear something like that. My only concern woukd be it coukd be too short gor a work function. I suppose it depends on how tall uiu are.

Letsnotargue · 13/10/2023 08:52

Lovely dress. Although I read the title as ‘cockerel attire’ and was expecting a cobbled together fancy dress outfit. Have to admit I’m a bit disappointed. And evidently I need more coffee.

Post of the day 😂😂😂

Isn't lovely!
It might not be that short if you are not as tall as the model.

Mosaic123 · 13/10/2023 09:05

Isn't IT lovely!

MrsMarzetti · 13/10/2023 09:35

Depends on your age, size and height

MintTrackies · 13/10/2023 09:40

Yes, perfect

It's fine. I wouldn't wear it because I hate high necks, but it's cocktaily. Are you sure it's not a tiny bit short, though? Mind you, if you have to wear construction gear at work, it will make an impression!

Torganer · 13/10/2023 10:21

I don’t think it looks short even on the model. Aren’t cocktail dresses supposed to be short? I wear shorter dresses/skirts to work! Also work in construction!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/10/2023 10:30

I love that

I never get invited to the right parties. 🙁

Dress looks lovely OP

AsBeautifulAsYou · 13/10/2023 12:51

Yes you look lovely and I am someone that would tell you if it didn’t. Consider a wrap as it’s getting chillier. Just make sure you can walk in whatever heels you have.

MyAnacondaMight · 13/10/2023 12:54

It’s a lovely dress and you look great.

It’s a bit sexy for me, for a work event, but you know your industry best. I think I’d pair it with a jacket or some 20D semi sheer black tights, so that I wasn’t showing both thigh and shoulder.

Mummyoflittledragon · 13/10/2023 12:54

Fab!

WeighDownOnMeStayTillMorning · 13/10/2023 13:06

Ooh it's really nice - and pockets! Double win.

Daffodilwoman · 13/10/2023 13:09

You look fab in it op.
I was thinking it was too short but after seeing you in it I think it looks great.
